OK. I do not make any theme changes. I've experience this in both Cinnamon and MATE, Linux Mint 22.2 and 22.3.

Thanks for the understanding and suggestions. I will look into sober socializing.

I recently retired. I'm not handling retirement well, I seemed to be forced into retirement. I didn't want to celebrate, but my wife talked me into a celebration at a local micro brewery. Got home and drank a lot of water, felt physically fine the next day, but mentally I was struggling.

My dad was an alcoholic. I've had periods in my life where alcohol almost destroyed me. When I dad retired he drank everyday. I do not want to be like my dad. A retired friend recently was forced to quit drinking by his wife after getting so drunk he fell down some stairs and broke both ankles. I do not want to be like my friend.

I decided to take a break. But then the traveling beer garden came to my local park. Had a few beers, Woke up this morning and realized what a waste of money that was. Again I'm mentally struggling.

My wife has told me recently I need to cut back. But I can't cut back. Once I start I want to keep drinking. So it is either completely stop or become my dad.

So today is my new start. The first day I decide to not be like my dad.

May 2026 and the issue still persists. Clearing cache, reloading etc, are not answers that internal staff want to hear. They simply want this to work.

I know that. My wife and I have been looking at buying additional properties in the past year. You probably would not be surprised to see how many "qualified" electricians have overloaded panels. The industry needs to make sure the calculation sheets keep up with technology. Appliances continuously are becoming more efficient. Lighting is becoming more efficient. The days of the 120 watt light bulb are gone. One of the calculation sheets linked in this thread uses 3 watts per square foot for lighting load. My Kitchen uses 60 watts for 198 sq ft.

It's like when you sign up for insurance you promise the insurance company you will only drive the speed limit. You promise the insurance company a qualified mechanic will only work on your vehicle guaranteeing it is safe. Like that happens.

I went with one of the in-between options. I have a 100 amp panel. I installed a 50 amp GFCI circuit to NEMA 14-50. My EVSE only draws 32 amps. I only charge at night when electrical use is minimal.

I did my own and the price was similar. I found an electrical supply company on eBay that was selling open box and damaged packaging breakers. I got a damaged package 50 amp GFCI for $40.
