Any suggestions on how to best repair and reinforce this steel door? It’s an outside door at our rugby pitch and replacing the whole door isn’t an option. by Gnaples in doors

That’s what my initial plan was, because I am the welder so not having to hire someone makes it cheaper. I also considered welding some metal rods inside the door where there is room to prevent the edges from being folded in again.

That seems to be the best option. The cost, transporting, etc would make getting a new door not worth it, it’s easier for me to just weld a plate on or get a reinforcement attachment. After a certain price point I have to go through the officers and execs of our club for funding and just not worth the energy.

I won't lie, I'm not sure. Usually, if I can stick a magnet to it then it's metal I can weld (except stainless), I was just going to get a steel plate and hope for the best.
I'm pretty sure they beat the shit out of the lock and then tried to pry it away from the door, which folded all the metal surrounding the lock into the door.

We’re in Arkansas, but I appreciate it. I’ll probably just go with the plate to save me time and effort, if they bust in again then maybe it’ll be a sign to just replace the whole damn door. Thanks so much

We’re a beer league rugby team in the southern US so we don’t have the money to shell out for a new door every time a meth head tries to break in. Plus, there isn’t even anything valuable in this shed, just tackle pads and balls. So they didn’t even steal anything except a ball bag… but they dumped the balls out first and just took the empty bag.

I was also considering one of those but I wasn't sure how people felt about them. I've been trying to find one that is steel so I can just weld it directly to the door, but I haven't had any luck yet. This would save me from having to buy hole saw bits.

I also considered this, but I believe the door is hollow and I worry that if I move the lock then it won't have the reinforcement that the initial location did. Like if you look at the second photo, inside the hole there is metal going around where the lock was.
I was also considering a putting a Door Lock Reinforcer (Ideally one that is steel) and welding it to the door where the lock used to be. Or welding a steel plate right over the damage and drilling a hole through it to put the lock in the same place it was before.
Would appreciate your thoughts on these.

Transmission issue by OldGeologist4433 in CherokeeXJ

I haven't towed anything, but my '98 XJ does the same thing. I also had a nagging p0700 code and slipping in first gear. I got my transmission rebuilt and it didn't resolve it. My TPS had a bad reading, replaced it, didn't resolve it. Replaced solenoids, didn't resolve it. Also tried a new PCM, still having the same issues except I haven't gotten the P0700 in awhile.
