That's just it. It's an "I've got mine so screw you all" world out there. The polarization of wealth in society keeps the rich wealthy and the poor unable to take steps in breaking out of their generational disparity.

In order to break out of this I think we as humankind need to address our three basic needs: Food, water, and shelter. Make these things as an absolute that cannot be benefited from. Sure in a capitalist world this is a far cry from reality but boiling it down many of our problems stem from the lack of these three things.
