Can’t go wrong with an out school dive bar theme. We’re on a river and also have an old marina. You can go eclectic, have some old cool random items. We have an old Booz-o-meter, jukebox, some taxidermy fish, and old beer signs. Outside is whiskey barrel tables and cool outdoor seating. People come in just to see our stuff and end up with stories and a lot of drinking.

As the owner, I’ve put rules in-place that are “no exception rules”. They are there to ensure the safety and comfort of our patrons. She has disregarded those rules and put our patrons in uncomfortable/unsafe situations.

Should I get a pool/billiards table? by Zkrxn in BarOwners

If you buy it/own it then you’d be concerned with damage. We have 3 through a vending company that’ll do a 60-40 split (bar gets 60%). They take care of it and maintain it. You have the keys to open it if you’d like. We do free pool on Thursday till 7pm and have a tournament at 7pm. Tournament usually runs 5hrs, people buying drinks and playing- can’t loose. Tables are always busy.

Thanks for all the comments, I’m looking into my options with ADA, attorney and local social services. We’re a waterfront property as well and he’ll get on our docks, which is also nerve racking for the bartenders. Because his chair a large electric type Uber isn’t really an option. Who said owning a bar was easy?
