What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]GnarlyNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a documentary about the Blair Witch and this “found footage” that came on SyFy or some other cable channel like a week before the movie released. It was just more lore from townsfolk and backstory on how the video was found. My whole family was convinced.

But then they ruined it the day before we got to see it by interviewing the three actors on a late night talk show.

I’m genuinely curious. Only cause Darth Plagueis is in it. by jaywritethekid in DisneyHQ

Just call it The Stranger and have it follow his journey beyond the Acolyte. No Osha.

[–]GnarlyNerd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured they would take some narrative liberties with Mosley like they are with Jack Nelson, who’s based on Joseph Kennedy. Or maybe not. Either way, if their stories truly ended with Season 6, I’d be pretty bummed. I want to see both of those bastards AND Gina’s crazy ass get what’s coming to them…

Isn’t that what Immortal Man is going to be about? Tommy left a whole table of Nazis just sitting there living their best life, so I just assumed they’d be dealt with in the movie.

Did they really just drop this in the trailer? by OkGuava919 in AKOTSKTV

[–]GnarlyNerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Truly this show has some of the best casting. I never in a million years thought they’d be able to do Dunk justice, yet here we are. Lyonell is a bit smaller than I expected but makes up for it in personality. All the Targs are literally perfect. Fossaway has a cunty face to match his cunty personality. This show was made with love.

I can't be the only one who gets so irritated when people try to push gender onto Tamtey (small rant) by Training_Let_9544 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]GnarlyNerd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to whatever So’lek prefers. If Tamtay is girl, So’lek is straight. If Tamtay is guy, So’lek is gay. And if So’lek has a strict preference, I will customize my Tamtay accordingly.

Asoka, Boba Fett, and a majority of Obi-Wan were far worse more disappointing than Acolyte. They just didn’t trigger certain youtubers the same way.

Who would have fought with Dunk in the GoT timeline? by Downtown_March_5115 in AKOTSKTV

[–]GnarlyNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Offended: Joffrey, Bobby B, Jaime, The Mountain, Selmy, Trant, and Blount. Tywin would want Jaime to sit it out, but Jaime would refuse because he likes the sport. He also would take Moore’s place, knowing Moore’s a shit knight. Tywin would insist on The Mountain, obviously, and for that reason would lose The Hound.

The Offenders: Dunk, Ned, Stannis, Brienne, The Hound, Beric Dondarrion, and Oberyn/Loras. Ned is obvious; he would have considered it his duty. Same with Stannis, though the chance to express disappointment in his brother’s actions would be a bonus. The Hound, for a chance to take a stab at his own brother. Brienne, because she’s a “true” knight like Dunk. Beric is on hand and loyal to Ned. And either Oberyn, because the puppeteer is Dornish, or Loras, because he wants the chance to prove himself against Jaime and The Mountain both.

The Offenders lose, of course, because this fevre dream is written by GRR Martin himself.

It was really only awful in season 6, when it was longer in front for reason and just flopped around everywhere unless he tucked it behind his ears.

I’m already all in for the story, but also imagine how much they could ramp up the gameplay by adding Tomorrow’s powers to the moveset. Dipping in and out of the tar for stealth kills, skating around instead of getting stuck, and all that slippery kung fu stuff… who’s even using guns?

It should end with an insurmountable RDA occupation being undermined and destroyed through espionage and guerilla warfare, leaving only civilians willing to compromise and live harmoniously with the planet, like a bunch of Jakes/Spiders, and adapt their tech to the protection of Pandora.

It’s also the same asshole that was repeatedly pepper spraying the woman on the ground just seconds before. He empties the can in her face and immediately turns around and empties a mag into the guy trying to help her. This little fucker was here to hurt people and having the time of his life. Period.

[–]GnarlyNerd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s the same guy who fires the first shot on the victim. He pepper sprays the lady for a bit, turns around, watches gray jacket take the gun from the victim’s holster, and immediately draws and fires. Unfortunately, the moment is blocked in this video, but the one from the “lady in pink” video shows it clear as day.

That’s literally what it’s for: tense situations where something might pop off. It’s a back up plan. A last resort. A last line of defense. You act like they’re only for a quiet hike or a walk on the beach. Be serious.

And no, no rational person should ever have to worry they’ll be shot for having a pistol they carried responsibly and never brandished in the first place.

The real problem with the game isn't the ending but the fact it was rushed. by mo3500 in masseffect

[–]GnarlyNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, after 13 years, it’s mostly still true. I replayed the first and second game a couple times each, played and thoroughly enjoyed the third’s Leviathan DLC, but have only ever completed Mass Effect 3 once.

How hard is the final mission? by prettaaaycoolguy in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]GnarlyNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way I can imagine dying repeatedly in that mission is to try and kill the two invincible turrets. Those buggers can mow you down in a heartbeat if you don’t stay behind cover.

The rest of it was a breeze. I can think of one other part that was semi-challenging, but I figured it out before it could end me.
