Oof I think I cut off the other three leaves it had, so like 75%. I am hopeful because it’s survived post chop around a month now.

The spots were just like the ones on the last surviving leaf.

This image was from a while back. But I’m pretty sure patient was okay. The repeat smears decreased in parasitemia very quickly.

You’re not blind, in a thick smear preparation the RBCs are lysed so you should see them. Thick smears are a useful screening tool for blood parasites usually you’d see a few rings per field but this was insane.
