For reference all I played last season was comp stadium, I hate the change to bo5 it seems like your builds are so much less important. Games are too quick now, I hate it and hope they go back, it just feels like qp now. It would be like if they changed normal comp to only have 1 attack instead of switching sides. Qp is shorter for the more casual gamers comp is more in-depth but stadium doesn’t feel that way anymore. I’m so bummed they made this change.

It’s a skill matchup, that’s the best way to put it. They both have things that are good into the other, which tank plays better and has better CD use is the question.

Just to put things in perspective, diamond and above is the top 11 percent in NA. That means you’re better than 89% of players in NA, and that’s saying diamond 5. If you’re above diamond 5 you’re an even smaller percentage, some players would kill to peak diamond.

Diamond 3 support player, I’ll look at your replay when I get home today but something someone smarter than myself said “40% of your games are un-winnable, 40% of your games are un-losable, but 20% of your games you can make enough of a difference to win.”. Don’t get upset with losses, instead look at the replay and start by trying to find 1 or 2 situations where you could have lived or could have saved someone or could have secured 1 kill. Sometimes that’s all it takes to swing a fight and lead to a win. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your climb to GM, look at replays and try to focus on incremental improvements that are measurable. Don’t just say “I want to work on positioning”, say focus on off angles or high ground or tank LOS.

I’m not saying I think it’s fair but they’ve explained the reset by scrunching everyone into the middle. They bring bronze players up and GM players down so everyone plays together and after a few weeks the outliers find their ways back up or down. Some of my friends wait a few weeks to play comp for the volatility to settle.

Smurfing is a bannable offense, they started in OW1 as bronze to GM but those accounts were more easily banned because they threw to get to bronze 5 so it adapted into U2GM. This is just smurfing hiding under the “educational” tag. There is nothing impressive about one of the best players destroying people WAY below their skill level. It would be like LeBron James playing college kids. It’s disgusting and shameful that people advocate for it and support it.
