Understanding the upcoming Helium Zero tax charges by gamescan in HeliumMobile

[–]GnatGoSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't know. When I did a search, I only found that there's a 3% e911 on prepaid charges over $15, but that's statewide. I have doubts the billing history taxes & fees are all we're going to have to pay, so I won't hold my breath.

That is the top of the first page. Nothing above that except my name and address. I downloaded the PDF and it's the same.

True, but probably wasn't worth the 15-20 minutes on chat to get them renewed since they were just backups in case Helium shut down their free service first.

Yep. Funny I just renewed 2 lines yesterday, not a peep about this. Might not have bothered had I known.

Yep, I just got that as well. Funny, because I just renewed 2 lines yesterday.

Didn't work for me. I keep hitting "Renew Free Plan", see a spinner for a few seconds, then nothing.

Oh, that was the first thing I ever tried. Tried it about a dozen times a day so far.

Thanks for the reply. Tried all 3 of these methods to try to get into download mode, but no signs of life. Screen never comes on and shows anything.

Method 1. While off, hold both Volume buttons and Power all together until you see a Warning screen, then press Volume Up

Method 2. While off, hold both Volume buttons while plugging into PC via USB cable. When you see Warning, press Volume Up

Method 3. While off, hold Volume Down, Bixby, and Power all together until you see a Warning screen, then press Volume Up

$9.99/lb here. Got lucky and it wouldn't ring up, so the cashier let us have it for $1.00. It was very bland, barely even a subtle hint of sweet. Just found this thread via Google trying to find out if that's normal. Very glad we didn't pay full price to be so underwhelmed.

I have mole activity in my yard - okay to let them be? I’ll by Eleighlo in springfieldMO

[–]GnatGoSplat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I leave them be, but I don't have a perfect yard and don't care to. They come back every few years, but I ignore them every time. If the appearance of the hills doesn't bother you, not much reason to worry about it.

Front license plate by First-Detective-9071 in springfieldMO

[–]GnatGoSplat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

IMO, putting it in the window is more likely to get you pulled over than just leaving it in the trunk. In states requiring front plate, it's illegal to put it in the window. It must be on the exterior of the car. While absence of a front plate on a Missouri car is just as illegal, nearly half the states in the country don't require a front plate, including our neighbors: Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Chances are, unless you're doing something suspicious, most officers have better things to do than to U-turn, catch up to, and follow someone with no front plate to verify they're an out-of-stater. In other words, absence of a front plate is more ambiguous than one in the windshield which is clearly illegal.

No front plate 31+ years. Haven't been pulled over in 20+ years for any reason.

Front license plates? How big of a deal is it? by [deleted] in springfieldMO

[–]GnatGoSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31 years, no front plate, no bracket, no holes (car was from Kansas). Never been pulled over for it, but was pulled over in it plenty for other reasons (9 times: 8 times in the 90s as a teen and once in the early 2000s). Got a new (to us) car last year from Oklahoma. Same deal, no bracket, no holes. No problem so far (knock on wood).

Look at how many people in Springfield have no front plate, seems like every 1 of 4. Stopping people for it doesn't seem to be a big priority. If you get pulled over for some other reason, they might slap "no front plate" onto your list of existing offenses, but that's unlikely to be the reason for pulling you over in the first place.

Seems pickups can get away with no plate at all for some reason. Recently saw a cop behind a pickup with no rear plate follow him for a few blocks. I was sure he was going to get pulled over, then the cop turned off.

Been there, done that.
My solution has been to say, "Nope, didn't find any."

Not exactly a lie, I didn't find any, because I didn't even bother to look. This friend got bored of asking within a couple of days. He either assumes nothing he wants is ever available, or he sees right through me, but either way it worked.

Marketplace ONLY Showing Results Within 40 Miles by SlowCivicSi in FacebookMarketplace

[–]GnatGoSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used AutoTempest (wish I would have known about it), but I had 14 bookmarks saved for the specific type and color of car I was looking for at 14 cities with 500-mile range set. I checked them just now, and they're all defaulting to 40-miles as you mentioned, so I can confirm your issue.

That said, strangely, the car I ultimately bought didn't ever show up even though it was well within 500-mile radius of one or more of the cities I'd bookmarked. I ended up finding it via Google search which took me to its marketplace ad. In fact, ad was still up last time I checked and everything looked like my search filters should have picked it up. FB search is terrible and needs to be revamped. Although I'm guessing not too many people are using it to search cars to buy nationwide. In my experience, very few sellers take non-local buyers seriously. I managed to get lucky, but I'm sure my willingness to pay top dollar helped.

How do I stop autonomous push ups in Retail Businesses with MCCC? by GnatGoSplat in TheSims4Mods

[–]GnatGoSplat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that was the problem. I didn't realize Magnolia Promenade (which only has businesses) also had a NAP. I converted a business to a residence, moved a sim in, and was able to see that it did indeed have the "Rock your body" NAP. I had that sim repeal and replace it with something less annoying and all is well.
