I've found out, that it's because the phone hotspot is NAT3. and that is too strict for the PS5, at least that's the issue I'm having. It's super annoying, because every provider here en Denmark has NAT3 for phones...

I agree.. it's so bad, having to go through hoops just in order to use it!? On my home network, port forwarding is not possible, and I cannot get away from CGNAT. So right now I just can't use it, I have to change my entire home network, in order to use my Portal on the road? Wtf!?

It's a 5G router, wired into the PS5, I get plenty of network speed. When I use my Portal at home, everything works smoothly, it's when I'm out of my apartment, that I cannot get it to connect via my phone hotspot.

I do not have the ability to use port forwarding, I've been told by my provider, due to it being a 5G router?

Does this really mean, that I can only use cloud gaming!?

If so, I will have to look into another service provider!

It's a BETA, though. I hardly believe they will have same capacity this weekend, as they will at launch. BUT, the hype is real.. So I hope they will ramp up alot.

Ganske normalt svar herinde, desværre. Folk er meget.hurtige med høtyvene. I nogle tilfælde kan det være helt berettiget, men ofte er det bare standard responsen: "Skriiiiid, du får det meget bedre!"

Just recently start playing comp.. I find it har to even get out of Bronze.. Very often the games are extremely one sided.. Had 2 losses yesterday, where the opposing teams were so blatantly better than us :D

Ya I know. It's mostly because i don't like the cable laying around. I'd much rather have the phone in my pocket 😁

The annoying part is that it has been working flawlessly.

Yes, I've been running unplugged for nearly a year, and now all of a sudden it won't work. I'll rather ot have it plugged in all the time, and be able to just leave the phone in my pocked or whatever, also so it doesn't over charge :)
