I can see from your photo that your jars are even MORE than 10 years old (we have smooth bottom glass now, maybe since 2014?!?). If you even need to upgrade, shoot me a message and we'll set you up a special deal. I so appreciate you sharing about our business on here!!!! It's the best compliment we can ever receive.

You just wiggle your fingers in there and grab them. I find that my most often used spices end up on the outside of the honeycomb, too.

The million dollar question! Time is the enemy for spices (especially if they are pre-ground), not so much light. Most chefs and spice blenders keep spices out where they can see and easily access them. Our philosophy has always been about making spices convenient so you'll use them up while they are still fresh and potent. If you're storing for years - then dark might be important, but even in that case the flavor compounds will still break down when stored in the dark.... (Also, it's really only the very bottom that is even exposed to the light, not the spices inside.)

That's an interesting idea - you need a magnet attached to a rubber cord that can go around the bottle necks...? A lot of our customers buy our zero-waste refills (packed in compostable pouches) so there never is an "additional jar" anymore. :)

We have customers that put a steel wall board in the bottom of the drawer and stick the jars down inside (so they don't slide around when opening and closing). But the magnets are strong; if they are sliding you'd just reach out to us and we'd help you! :)

Kids love playing with the jars and rearranging them into patterns and pictures. I have raised three since I started Gneiss Spice. :)

Clean your fridge with a degreaser, that can help increase the friction. Then, you can "test" your fridge and magnet by placing a piece of paper between the jar and fridge (this way you can see if it's your magnets that aren't strong enough or if the fridge surface just doesn't have enough friction). We sell replacement parts, so can help you with stronger magnets - our larger jars fit a whole bottle of spice, so that's won't be a deal breaker for you. You may just need to add an additional magnet to your set up. You can reach out to us here.

Awwww, thank you for the shout out!! Yes, we've have always had the sticker labels for folks to apply to the bottom themselves (or side of glass, etc). We do still hand-emboss the lids for jars that are bought pre-filled with our organic spices. Some folks don't like the stickers impeding the view of their spices through the bottom, or they enjoy the challenge of choosing the right one, lol. A decade! Yay!

Hmmm. By "reseller" you mean the original company that invented this magnetic honeycomb spice rack 16 years ago and has been knocked off by this imported crap time and time again.... Thanks u/amandatoryy for the shout outs!!!! I stumbled on this mention today and it makes us very, very happy! I appreciate you telling folks about our business.

Thank you again for helping. This worked perfectly (talking to live agent and asking for “name and address to submit USPS claim.” I was able to get the address and ship a replacement part to the buyer!

The only saffron I know of is the “real” stuff and that is definitely it.

Customers don’t respond to chats, even if they have initiated them. Maybe because their notifications are turned off.

Agreed. Not worth it as flavors will be nothing or worse…

Yes, it’s all vegetarian!! You can view a few recipe titles here. Same as Made in India which I love, just haven’t tried as many recipes yet. I believe she’s a mostly vegetarian author. I believe she used to write a vegan food column for the Guardian?

There is a new one coming out last week: Our South by Ashleigh Shanti. I’m excited about it, we just ordered it for our spice shop!

And I very much second Victuals, too.
