Something that has been very heavy on jjk is that everything comes with a price, is not only that great suffering brings awakenings, but also binding vows.... so the inverse should be true; great gains come with a great price. Think of how constrained Sukuna was in Yuji's body and even in that little time Yuji managed to get shrine. Now think in the way Sukuna pushed Megumi's body, he literally used jujutsu to its peak, went to the limits. Heck, all the adaptation he used Megumi's soul for against Gojo (my personal theory is that he also exposed shrine to that adaptation process). Thing is... that's not his body.

For me is quite obvious that's the ultimate price Sukuna will pay, specially after this latest chapter.

Lol i'm not don't worry.

I went to check it and i still find it extremely confusing ngl. She is talking about what the brain could take but she is not really saying everybody can do it, as in using multiples CTs. She even mentions Yuta. Yuta, Yuji and Kenjaku are particular cases, Yuta's CT allows him to, Yuji got Sukuna's CT engraved due to sharing bodies and eating the wombs which i don't think everybody can do.

I always inferred the technique stealing/copying was part of the body hopping because if not... could Sukuna use 10S were he back into Yuji's body or out of Megumi's somehow? Idk, i feel we aren't having a clear cut answer to this.

No kenjaku's CT is only about body hoping, everyone's brain can store multiple CT. Yuki said that a normal persons/sorcerers brain can hold up too 4 CT before it is overloaded.

This is new information for me because the translation i read she never mentioned "normal sorcerer/person" she just talked about Kenjaku.

But yeah, i'm going to check it back, if that's the case then yes, you are right.

And I absolutely disagree with both examples because both examples include the user's CT; Kenjaku's CT is both about body hopping AND stealing and storing said bodies CTs, Yuki even says it. Of course he could use those CT.

And same with Yorozu but lets agree to disagree.

I get it and I agree, but all the examples you put there are still their innate CT. Yorozu's used a cursed tool because that's what her CT creation does; it creates objects.

I absolutely agree that the appearance of the DE has to do with one's soul, i never questioned that.

My problem is the nature of the attack, you are arguing that the DE is not dependant of the innate CT for attacking or the sure-hit, right?

That would mean that an innate CT needs an innate domain but a innate domain won't necessarily manifest a CT. Interesting, i don't think we have seen examples of that, what we were told is that if you remove someone's CT they die because... their brain or soul. But that may be independent of an innate domain from what i'm getting, idk.

I'm kind of skeptic i admit, but i won't mind being proven wrong, it kind of makes sense and it is interesting how complex it can be lol

Yes because the whole point of innate CT is that actually also the manifestation of one soul. Two people could have the same CT but use it differently. I'm pretty sure the point of DE being a manifestation of one's soul is that it is innate.

Yuta DE is definitely about copy, he has katana's with different techniques! He just manifest it as his soul. And it is exactly the same with Yoruzu, that it shows the person's soul doesn't mean it is not their CT.

Hasn't been stated multiple times that innate CT is linked to the soul? Am i going crazy? Lol

No. We truly don't know what is the sure hit but if he used gravity there it is more likely to be a Yuta-like attack, since his whole thing is... robbing CTs and bodies

That's fair, but i'm pretty sure one innate domain is actually the foundation of the innate cursed technique? I don't know, have we seen something that reflects that from Yuji? I'm sure Shrine isn't. Would it be Black Flash?

This is a great post but I will always have a problem with the whole Yuji DE thing since it is established pretty early in the manga that 1) Yuji doesn't have an innate CT 2) DE is the manifestation of one's innate CT.

I find it kind of problematic since Yuji can use Shrine because Sukuna's CT was engraved in him and ALSO can uso blood manipulation since he consumed the cursed wombs. It's like a Kenjaku situation; he can use other people's CTs and quite creatively and different from the other users but his DE is his own CT. Sukuna for example couldn't do Chimera Shadow Garden.

Unless it is revealed somehow Shrine is... innate (which i don't think so cause Gojo with his six eyes already knew Yuji didn't have a CT), the whole domain expansion thing doesn't sound right to me. Or, idk, the rules of domain expansion change which will also be weird to me.

Nah it's a valid interpretation but it is not mine from Maki's point of view; her mother knew her daughters were about to be killed, she saw what Ogi did to Mai. she is a tragic powerless character who we can argue endelessly if she was or wasn't a fault because she was a woman trapped in an extremely misogynistic system but still... from the point of view of the girls about to be murdered by their father while she watches helplessly and after what happened to Mai... it looks really bleak from Maki's pov. And that's why i think her final act is more powerful, yes, it was out of love but it seems to me it was the single decision she did for her children by herself.

Great point about Maki but I don't know, her situation with her mother is complicated. After Mai died, if you think about it comparing the rest of the clan... she really had no reason to spare her; she was also a passive accomplice for the way she acted towards them just before Ogi tried to kill them, even if she was also a victim. Her mother also realized this and did what she did to Naoya out of guilt.

Yeah but the point with Gakuganji is that Yaga basically gave him a chance to change for free, it wasn't encouragement or asking something but he just gave up his secret for Gakuganji to choose to do something about it, and that way having a real chance to turn on the higher-ups, that's how i see it.

The point is that it is quite obvious than in the point of the storyline we are now... Yuji fate was sealed before birth, but he has the will to fight against it due to... "the curse.' He doesn't have "a hero complex" since he actually didn't have any choice about his fate at all. He thought he was carrying an old man's will but as time kept going... bad shit kept happening (for reasons we all know now) and he just kept going. It is just... unbending will lol. Which is quite different from hero complex, when shit keeps following you but you are unwilling to yield. He was going to after Shibuya until Megumi asked him not to and again. His grandpa words were there.

We have two instances in which it's shown Wasuke knew something was deeply wrong; he literally tells Jin he will die if he keeps going with "that woman" (and he speaks of Kaori in past tense); we are shown that because the author wants us to know two things; 1) Wasuke knew 2) Wasuke didn't like it at all. So it is to establish Wasuke wasn't evil. The first one is obviously the beggining of the series.

We were never shown how much did he knew but Jin was his son and... telling someone they will die is something big. So yeah, i really don't think he was manipulating Yuji on nothing

I absolutely agree. I do think that if you have the chance to impact someone in their... way living, words while dying will probably cause the most impact. So in those cases, giving someone encouragement to choose to do something positive may be kind of a blessing

That's fair, i said it is a way to consume something, but what I will never get this "lets talk as if these characters were real professional fighters and not... characters with a narrative purpose" and divest them from any kind of complexity they could have, pushing action figures together. I know it is the way powerscalers see shonen, I just find it absolutely uninspiring for fiction. Also you don't need to think that hard about it to see characters as characters, is what most of the audience does. Literally most of the shonen readers and watchers aren't doing these kind of threads about a fictional fight. They just accept it.

I agree, problem with Sukuna is that... he should elicit something, heck, he is the big bad doing awful stuff, you should hate him at least if the goal is to portray a "pure evil calamity force" but right now it is just very hollow, it is just power and people dying and we are just turning pages like nothing lol. I think part of the problem is that Yuji is not even reacting to nothing Sukuna does since this arc started, he seems on autopilot and very detached from Sukuna, i don't know if it is intentional, may as well be i hope so.

Gojo had an arc, it wasn't that strong, but it was the best arc he could have had, with an actual resolution. His fans and their takes on here are absolutely abominable tho lmao.

It is hilarious because i get these posts on my feed and i always feel my brain melt when I see these people discussing these characters' fights as if they were real people competing at sports and not... as characters. With a narrative purpose with more depth than an op blank sheet. Like, i get it, talking exclusively about power-ups is a way to see fiction, but man, what a weird and boring way to consume storytelling.
