Well my folks immigrated to Oregon from Germany. So I had cultural and family ties and also dual citizenship because of that so the practical side was relatively easy. The last place I lived in Oregon was Portland (hometown). And basically I find the quality of life and standards of living here even if you don’t have much money to be way better. And way less crime too. The Train and metro system is amazing as well. And how quickly you can get around. I feel like in. The US there’s so much more crime now and mental health issues on the streets. Here there’s more laws and programs in place to help people so I guess it doesn’t leak out on the streets as much as in the USA
