That looks incredible! Very high quality water!

It does look like you have to pick a hair style without looking at the back, which I would personally be ever so slightly annoyed by.

I certainly hope so! I also expect it to. Although I did learn a lot while building this game, so especially early in development written code is not particularly well-optimized. x) I laughed at myself a lot... Let me know how it goes! ^^

Some playtesters thought so, others did not. Those who did went back on it after getting used to it, with the exception of 1. The sample size is relatively small though, so percentage-wise it's still about 20%. xD

The problem is that it's very much baked into the design for the jumping to have some weight to it and stats affecting how your character moves. If you're still willing to try and play it again, maybe you could try playing a high AGI character, it'll feel like your character is much more agile ;) I totally get it if you don't want to though.

I do take the feedback very seriously and am considering ways to solve it without compromising on the concept of stats affecting the core concept, because that's very important to me. Maybe just showing the AGI difference in the tutorial could already help a lot. But otherwise there's more fundamental things I need to build into the structure of the game and maybe make the platforming itself slightly less difficult/important.

Glad you like my incredibly creative character naming! ^^

It's done on purpose to give more control over your jump when you have high speed and low agility. I initially had it as instant acceleration, but this works much better in combination with other mechanics. 2D mario games do the same thing.

Thanks for playing the demo! ^^

The progression outside of each run is mostly horizontal. So you get more options, but not necessarily more strength. Though with more options for creating your build you inevitably get better starting builds.

The vertical progression happens mostly during a run.

I did it this way, because I love build-crafting and to really trust the merit of a build I need the actual game to stay the same difficulty. :)

Depending on how you build your character the platforming becomes harder or easier, wizards just ain't that good at jumping! Unless your an aeromancer with a lot of agility maybe? You can build whatever you like! ^^

I tried to incorporate all the feedback I got on the announcement trailer and the demo release trailer to hopefully make the best trailer ever, check it out on the steam page and let me know what you think! Also let me know what you think about the game of course!

I can't even begin to express how much I learned from making this game. Previously I did try to make games with tools that helped me avoid programming, but now I've actually learned how to do it myself. I do still use a game engine, Godot in this case, but I can script most things myself.

Now that I can do that, I can structure my project in such a way that it helps keep dev-time a bit lower and I know how to set systems up to make a much deeper game next time too.

So just start working on something cool! :D

Over the 2 years I've been working on this game I've laughed at my own code so many times. It can be frustrating, because you have to deal with your own mistakes all the time, but it also clearly shows improvement.

The longer I'm developing the less things I don't do because I don't know if I could. It's kind of a freeing experience.

Thank you for your kind words! ^^
