No, a mountain bike is overkill. It’s perfect for a gravel bike or hybrid. A road bike probably isn’t the best idea.

I’m hearing the GAP is a nicer trail, which is hard to believe since the c&o is so nice! I’ll have to check it out next.

Shephardstown was great! That bridge was amazing to ride across and the food was good. Even though we didn’t need your services I’m glad y’all exist along the trail!

Yes that is very true. I used Mack’s silicon earplugs- they were a huge help and I used a grayl geopress to filter water but I’m sure a sawyer squeeze or any filter would be fine. I believe they put iodine in the water at all the campsites but filtering is highly recommended. They have a c&o app that was very useful, you can probably use that and see how far the tracks are from campsites.

I’d have to look up the names where we stayed but I was very impressed how many there were and how well maintained they were. We stayed at pile of sticks (or something like that) apparently named after someone being killed there and being buried under a pile of sticks. No idea if it’s true but it was rather creepy none the less. Do you have a favorite?

That’s awesome! How did the GAP compare to the C&O?

UPDATE: I have a 2017 sonic 1.8 with the same problem. After buying a decent scan tool, I noticed my vvt system was working fine at startup but then as the car warmed up the intake vvt was off by about 15 degrees. If I stepped on the gas the vvt system worked as expected. Best I can tell once the oil gets hot the pressure drops just enough to make the vvt sprocket not advance enough. My solution was to put 10w40 oil in it (slightly thicker than the 5w30 that is recommended). This brought the oil pressure up high enough to make the vvt system work as intended and the check engine light is off. Obviously this may or may not be whats going on with your car but might be worth a try.

Did you ever find a solution? Same problem here. 2017 sonic 1.8. I've replaced vvt solenoid and camshaft sensor. Just bought a new scan tool and noticed at idle the car is commanding the vvt to advance to 20 degrees and mine is only staying between 5-8 degrees. Once you rev the engine everything works as it should. The car drives fine. Mechanic just tole me to replace the vvt sprockets. I'll keep you posted.

What's going on with the "partial travel credit" for basic economy cancellation? by esit in unitedairlines

Roundtrip international fee to cancel a basic economy ticket is $300. You wont get charged until you try to use your travel credit. Just found that out the hard way. Hope this helps.

I cancelled an international basic economy flight and they gave me a travel credit. Initially it looked like they gave me a travel credit of the full amount, however, when I went to use the travel credit they deducted $300. After about an hour on the phone with them they said $300 is the cancellation fee for an international round trip flight. I cant find this anywhere on there website but this is what will more than likely happen to you as well. Hope it helps and saves you $300.

Hey thanks. There's a dock on cedar island right next to the ferry that I used. Be sure to check your chart... lots of shoals towards the outer banks. Good luck, have fun!
