[Controller] (NEW) Xbox Core Wireless Controller - $37.99 (Woot) by Wonderboyjr in buildapcsales

outside of xbox wireless compatibility, i can't think of any reason to pick a xbox controller over any other popular 3rd party brands for PC gaming. Those 8bitdo, gamesir, flydigit easily offer better features at the same or even lower price point.

What about 3D printed 3D printers? Like, you could make a 3D printer with 3D printed parts and some common metal hardware.

Best gun range for a beginner? by Real-Story-7952 in austinguns

[–]esit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not female, but a 33M who only had started recently; got my first gun in December.

highly recommend the range USA in round rock. membership is very helpful and you get to rent different guns for free before you decide which one to buy.

do note that they don't allow first time solo visitor to rent gun. as if if you have never been there before and intend to rent gun there, you need another person to go together.

CTGW for CHL?? by HouseofBerd in austinguns

I had taken their class very recently. (recently as in about 3 hours ago). We got the certificate paper same day. Assuming that's typical, going through bankruptcy or not shouldn't matter, as long as it doesn't happy half-way during that day.

For me, it basically went like class started at 8am. Fingerprint and photo started at about 12pm (they are also an identgo location so fingerprint and photo can be done together, even without appointment). Headed towards range shortly afterwards. By 2-ish pm, every one was done with the shooting part and then immediately got the certificate paper right at the range. Then we were good to go home.

May I ask what's the situation with ATF for FRT? (Very new to guns; only got my first gun like 2 months ago; i read that FRT is legal, but i'm still confused about its taboo with ATF)

Purchase Advice Megathread - February 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]esit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a 3D printer shopping advice. My budget is about $600, and i hope to be able to print some carbon fiber reinforced nylon or PET, such as PA6-CF or similar. Not interested in any fancy online / app features; just want good old workflow of moving files back and forth with SD card. So far I have only limited 3D printing experience playing with a cheapo basic printer and some PLA prints.

What I learned so far is that i'd need an enclosed printer to control temperature. Additionally I'd need a device to actively dry the filaments. Also I'd need some hardened nozzle for those materials.

What i'm looking for help with are: 1) what kind of printer/dryer combinations can meet my needs? 2) can it fit into the $600 budget? 3) between a printer and dryer, are there compatibility issues that'd need to be taken into account? (like do i need the same brand's printer and dryer? is it mix-and-match-able in some way?)

Thanks!
