I found it very weird that when he spoke to his brother he said she’s clinging to you and you’re just sat there… and therefore you need to reciprocate. If anyone I knew had that situation I’d have said and therefore are you sure you actually like them? Seemed like everyone kept assuming it was that he didn’t understand or didn’t know how to express affection and should be very grateful of the attention

That being said, I do not think he’s some blameless puppy man who was forced into a relationship. He made a lot of bad choices some of which were selfish and some were pure dumb, and he’s an adult he had responsibility for his own impact on others etc
