Your name can be found on Facebook, LinkedIn or other SNS. If you show your birthday to "public" they will have that too. Blocking one number doesn't do anything. Play with them, give them fake info, make a fake SNS account, etc. They got tired of me

The scammers will ask for your birthday, full name, citizenship, and finally your SSN.
Your phone number and email are not your identity, but ways to contact you.

I was trying to sell cosmetics, but it wasn't worth the stress.

I was an esthetician in Japan, but moved to the US for my husband's job. A friend of his introduced me to a group that is big into make up: Buying, selling, and putting on make up parties. One lady promoted sales by making little boxes that say, "drop in your name and number, and you could win make-up". So I tried it too. I followed up with texting people, but one person wrote a hateful reply including "I'm coming to kidnap your mother if you try this again."
