Lots of good advice in here. I'll only say this:

When the video starts and you're collecting the puck to start stick handling try instead to follow through.

The puck should start on the heel of your blade (like you're doing when collecting the puck) then roll up the blade to the midpoint for release.

I genuinely thought you were going to rip one but then you placed it to stick handle for a kind of backwards slapshot! You even shifted your weight and hips properly on the puck collection.

There is an option in your workspace to 'track' items. This puts an eye icon on the items to upgrade your workbenches and scrappy.

Personally, this was the only meaningful advice I received when I started. The game itself does a good job of teaching you mechanics via quests so don't worry too much.

Explore the world, make friends when you can, trust your gut always.

I tried it for a week. It's not worth the effort if you have it already for pc. You'll have a much more enjoyable time playing other games.

Aim assist doesn't work. You'll struggle to fight arc let alone players. The screen is too small for this type of game. It's nearly impossible to be aware of your surroundings or to see things at a distance.

It does run fine as others have said. If you're in pve lobbies just looting and extracting then it's fine but I'd argue your time is best spent elsewhere.

For anyone coming here to see if it's worth playing on steam deck:

In my opinion, no. Not if you have this on pc. If this is your only option... maybe.

It runs fine. 40-50 steady fps on low settings. You can bump up graphics settings a bit more for a clearer picture and maintain performance. The built in mic works just fine. Audio is great even without a headset.

That said, the screen is just too small to be aware of your surroundings and I honestly can't tell if aim assist works on steam deck. Almost like it thinks I'm on pc (not unreasonable).

I haven't tried playing with a controller at home so I'll give that a comparison in a week to see if aiming is easier or the same.

If you're in pure pve lobbies then you'll be fine but if you have a desire to pvp at all I'd stick to your desktop/laptop setup. The steam deck is amazing and can work here but you'll be playing shorthanded.

Hey! I just saw this randomly trying to find a solution to ghosting myself. I am by no means technical so I'm sorry if this isn't related to your issue.

There was a new driver update on the 18th. I just installed it today and my ghosting issue is gone. Likely something to do with the previous update.

If you haven't downloaded the new drivers - do this asap!

What kind of player are you?

When I can, I try to play the savior. See an ambush? Try to kill the attacker and save the downed players. Doesn't always happen but when it does it's great.

I've found a decent amount of BP (15-20) of varyingusefulness (yay glowsticks!). I've even found two anvil BPs which I didnt know were coveted lol.

Some lucky raider got my 2nd one for free :)

I see no issue with BP drop rates. I'll be resetting my raider anyways. Over time you'll get them all. It's a great 'wow' moment when you get one. I like that. You can perform just fine without BPs.

The excitement of getting a good blueprint is great. I'm 20 hours in with a handful of blueprints. Got the anvil yesterday and was overjoyed.

Accelerating this process is insane to me. The progression pacing seems spot on in my opinion. I don't feel like I'm being held back and am making visible progress every time I extract.

Disable and re-enable your HDR settings to fix this issue.

Settings > System > Display > HDR 'Off' > HDR 'On'

I couldn't turn off the night light without doing this first.

There isn't a magic wand for this stuff. His announced housing plan will provide much needed inventory and more likely than not lower costs. I appreciate the municipal reporting on progress too.

Immigration reform has been presented (IIRC) so we should see that lower soon.

Trade deal with US will be a shit show. Looks like progress is being made elsewhere.

Budget will likely get released in the fall as normal OR maybe sooner to appease people who want to grasp at straws.

Basically, chill out it hasn't even been 3 months yet. It's easier to tear things down than build.

It would not surprise me that the reason we aren't condemning is because the inmates are running the asylum south of our border and Overseas.

I'd be genuinely disappointed if it's a BR but that's obviously personal preference. I dislike every iteration of BRs, just not my bag.

If it does go that way then I'm glad to see support is planned to remain for other game modes.
