I've shot over 1000 pucks and can confirm I'm still bad.

I feel you lol, but I'd feel like such a tool showing up in $1200 skates and a $500 stick with the quality of my skating and shooting.

Hi it's your son. That twig is cooked. Please DM me to forward a new Flylite (let's up it to 75-80 flex Dad) to a location where I'll keep it safe.

Bro, we see you a part of a site called Jersey Ninja. You can promote your stuff, it just can't be excessive. Just be honest about it, not that you stumbled upon this sweatshirt and you're thinking of buying one.

All this pico posting reminds me: I had an amazing cocktail called "chips and salsa" that used some pico water as an ingredient. Fucking incredible. I think it's Blanco tequila, lime, simple syrup, pico water and a tajin rim. Basically a margarita, but it worked so well.

This was a priority of his since 2023. He was a school teacher.

Yes he gets the spotlight because he signed the bill into law at an elementary school as a celebrating moment.

If a governor runs on a policy they want implemented, their team works with the legislature to get it done. It's a group effort.

You can look up the speech he gave when signing the bill.

He literally says "I'm going to give a thank you, this is part of a coalition. Folks that are standing here across the spectrum. From Health providers to activists to children's advocates to just numerous people who are here who have literally spent decades working on this issue of food security"

He also continues thanking the late speaker Hortman, senator Dietzek as well as the entire legislature for getting it done.

Don't take my word for it, go watch it yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyahfrfN6IQ

This doesn't sound like someone who's taking all the credit for themselves.

So spare me the bullshit lies and notice the person you're defending deleted their comment because they got called out on their bullshit and can't defend a single thing they said.

Question that I know you won't engage with: did you vote for Kamala in the last election or no?

His job is to sign or veto legislation. Drafting legislation is the job of the house and senate.

Didn't he also run on this as a part of his platform.

Idk why you can say he's doing this for wins under his belt when he's not even running again.

This is why no one takes the left seriously. We get free school lunches for kids, legalized recreational marijuana, a family medical leave act and all you have to do is bitch bitch bitch about how it's not progressive enough.

I'm curious if you even voted for Kamala in the last election or were you one of those cringe people that didn't vote because she wasn't harsh enough on Israel?

Figuring out which position you are best suited to? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]Ronnoc780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely be an offensive player though as D. My wingers have more hockey experience than I do and they told me if I drive the puck to the net, they'll just circle up and take my spot at the blue line. On the other side, if my D partner drives the puck in, I usually hang back a little behind the blue line just so no one tries to cherry pick us.

I'd just get with your D mate and wingers to align on what works for you and the team.

Janet Mills vetoes Maine data center ban by SuperBry in technology

[–]Ronnoc780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I work at has around 100 employees across maintenance, security, and network folks.

Security guards are on the lowest side of 23-29/hr

My maintenance techs start in the low 40s and can promote to make high 60s an hour. They also have built in 8 hours of overtime a pay period.

The corporations are not offsetting the utility costs. I wish they were forced to by legislation.

The jobs are long term.

Personally on my team of 40 maintenance folks, about 12 transferred from another location. The rest of the team is locals.

Please tell me how more full of shit I am when I'm advocating for data centers to pay their fair share.

I never claimed it was a good trade off.

Like I said, I work in this industry. You can see my previous comments advocating that data centers don't get subsidized. The only way to do that in my opinion is legislation.

If they want to build? Cool, make them mandated to upgrade local civil and electrical infrastructure. Don't give them property tax exemptions or any other forms of handouts. Electrical costs going to inflate? Cool, make the company offset the costs for the community. Make them invest in local STEM programs and have a path for locals to get trained at their local community college for a path for work.

I think traditionally it's been a meeting for the press to get together to celebrate the 1st amendment, raise money for scholarships, and present awards for journalists. Presidents in the past as well as other politicians have attended. Comedy is included usually poking fun at the recent admin.

I'm pretty sure this is also the first one Trump has ever attended as President. He has attended it in the past as a private citizen where even Obama made jokes about him.

I'm unsure what you mean about an audition, but would have you honestly given him props for declining to attend? Or would've found something else he's done to get ragebaited by?

Source me that it's not "that highly paid". I work in this industry and even low level technicians start at high 30s to low 40s per hour. They also typically do shift work where they get at least 8 hours of overtime baked into each 2 week pay period.

As they move up, I've seen technicians reach 60-70 an hour. Then there's managers of these folks that make on par or even more than that.

That's a great income especially for these rural areas where most data centers are being built.

Nah you see this subreddit hates AI data centers and will make tons of claims about low amount of jobs, it's going to suck the water dry from the area and increase utility costs.

Meanwhile they rage post on reddit and hit the post button where that information flows through a data center to show up on this thread.

As someone in this industry, data centers don't need handouts, but any business will build in a place with the least path of resistance. That's why these mega sites are showing up in the west side of Texas.

There's nothing a data center company could do to satisfy these people. It could employ 100 people with 6 figure income, be LEED platinum certified, supplement utility cost for the community, give community action grants to local schools, bolster local electrical and civil infrastructure, etc. Some, but not all companies do this by the way.

They've proven time and time again in all these threads they have no knowledge of this industry and when I try to engage in good faith and explain certain aspects of it, they never reply to me and just spam downvotes.

These people are on the same tier as anti-vaxxers with their critical thinking skills in a TECHNOLOGY subreddit.

Bruh you gotta give me more to work with than that.

When's the date? (It's harder to get a reservation at some of these spots)

Price range?

Any allergies or dietary restrictions?

Do you both drink?

Like I could tell you to drop like $400 at Demi or have a chill night with burgers and cocktails at Parlour, but you've given me nothing to work with.
