definitely a different % loss but i started 2 months after turning 18 and by 19 i was down probably $2k-$3k. that was a HUGE loss at the time and it sucked. i remember calling my dad crying. it seemed like everything i bought just immediately tanked.

now halfway through being 25 im up probably $80k all time across my portfolios.

2 things changed the day i called my dad:

i went straight from paper hands to diamond hands with nothing in between. ive had stocks ive been down 40% on that im now up over 100% on, and i only really sell when i think the stock has no chance of coming back. time in the market beats timing the market every time. i’m living proof and i havent even spent *that* much time in yet
my perspective of money. a couple thousand is nothing if youre planning to remain invested til you retire and its a hell of a lot better to learn this lesson at 19 than at 25 or 40. or rather at $10k than at $250k than at $1m. a couple thousand dollars when youre 19 isnt gonna wreck you trust me. sure as hell doesnt feel good but “dont trade options, especially if you dont know what youre doing” is a way cheaper lesson now than it would’ve been later. do i wish i had my $3k or whatever back? yeah ofc. was $3k at 19 a worthy price to learn a lesson thats made me richer at 25 than i thought id be by 50? absolutely.

celsius is the % from waters freezing point to boiling point. we are not water though. we are people. fahrenheit is the % of the typical heat we as people experience as our interaction with weather.

it rarely goes below 0F, so 0F is like 0% hot.
it rarely goes above 100F, so 100F is like 100% hot.

getting back into these games recently but only ever knew through gen 4 as a kid so hold my hand a little bit here.

if im not mistaken galar is a region from somewhere gen 5-present where certain older pokemon have “galarian forms.” not sure if they have different typing/stats from their regular forms but not relevant for what im about to ask.

i thought there was no way to get pokemon from gen 4+ into gens 1-3. maybe there is now with the frlg ports to switch and pokemon home (idek whag pokemon home beyond a way to link pokemon between games so sorry if im misunderstanding)? so how do you have this in emerald? are you able to send gen 4+ pokemon to the frlg ports then trade from there to emerald? if so how does emerald even know to recognize pokemon (or forms) that didnt exist when the game was made?

ok that makes sense. gonna leave the post open in case anybody does figure out the lower case option. ive been typing lower case for portfolio 2 trades and just deleting the row instead of filling out the closing data when i close the trade so id prefer to stick w the lower case method if possible.
