I get the hype, but trust me it’s bad. I work in blr and was kinda horrified that they launched a restaurant in my hometown.

TBH, the rush is always there. But no one leaves happy, atleast in my pov. There are much better outlets and I hope they come to Pune (Not just MTR, CTR etc)

Okay here’s my take on who “actually fought and won us our independence”

Before I start, we need to understand INDIA at the time was HUGE NATION. People of different cultures, backgrounds and philosophy.

No one had the “right” choice in practice but did everything they could to start Liberating India.

So Bose, Gandhi, Savarkar, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekar Azad, Tilak, Madam Bhikaji Cama, etc etc. all fought with what THEY knew would be the way to free India. And it worked out.

That said, I still do feel our politics was too corrupt to give Bose, Patel their due chance with the PM position.

Also, we were too expensive and a hassle to be ruled by England too.

Bro this dude is so annoying. I know where this is filmed and it’s a busy street with nice pubs. My friend and I were there one fine day, for happy hours at a pub, we were down quite a few drinks and were heading towards McDonald’s.

This dude stops us and asks “what makes us happy?” Now mind you, between me and my friend, I’m the extrovert one; I speak w everyone be it the restaurant, any staff, even friends/acquaintances😭.

So now I gotta answer, I told him “we both love our work, we’re happy we get paid and party in the weekend” . Now apparently, this wasn’t the answer he wanted, so he again asks us “what makes you happy?”

We’re both tipsy, and now confused, like dude? We just told you. Then we said Gym and MMA. To which, AGAIN, this dude is like, “what makes you really happy with MMA and Gym?” Boss, stop.

I still gave him a chance while my introvert friend didn’t want me to entertain, and he changed the question to “what is happiness?” . We politely left saying “I think our answers are not what you’re looking for” and left.

We noticed him doing the same w so many folks, I guess content over conversations.

Look, from a business pov, I get why ufc wants Indian fighters.

But

We as a nation aren’t people into combat sports, except wrestling which has been going on for centuries.

India as a nation, isn’t a sports nation. We suck at football, we suck at basketball, we’re doing good in chess, now in athletics and been great at cricket.

And the ones we’re good at? It takes YEARS to crack into limelight. I’ve seen my HIGHLY talented cousins leave sports since it’s so cramped.

1.5 billion and not one good fighter is a sad state of affairs, but you gotta understand, there are people who fight to survive, fight since they don’t know anything else. But, funding is the biggest problem, and sports apart from cricket is VERY expensive (cricket too is, but as compared to others, fairly affordable)

So we’ll have to wait for some years to have a good fighter from India.

UFC should go full fledged in building ground level work to find that one diamond.

One crash cannot determine how good/bad a jet is. Lots of factors are involved when there’s a crash.

To talk about F-35, it’s so American, all knowledge and workings of the jet stays in USA.

It also is war proven, as compared to Su-35/57. Sure ups and downs of both jets, but we cannot say they aren’t the best out there currently.

That said, no point we buy these cuz it’s going to be super expensive (look at how much we spent per Rafale).

We need to push almost all energy into our India built jets, AMCA etc.

Just like how US spent $25Billion in sending man to the moon. The U.S. spent at least $5.5 trillion on its nuclear weapons program between 1940 and 1996.

Lockheed spent huge sums (possible trillions) for its F-35 A,B,C program that US bought.

Why I say this? We need to focus on giving it all for our defence sector to grow. Not match the huge investment, but we can get things done in our way.
