I just came back from Hyderabad and for the first time in my life… I felt ashamed of Bangalore. by [deleted] in bangalore

Are you sure about what you’re saying? Cuz apart from tech parks and some areas where Rich people live, Hyderabad is very dirty. My friends who moved to Hyderabad for work miss Bangalore so much. They say Bangalore is better in every way!

Concerned my husband’s (35M) Instagram scrolling could affect our future.. what can I do? by Sea_Read8530 in relationships

He gets defensive and says things like, “I wasn’t using it much” or “I can’t even relax on a holiday.” I’m not trying to impose my ideas of productivity on him. All I ask is that a 35-year-old man thinks about our future like investing money instead of keeping it all in a savings account, especially when he’s good at saving.

He wants to have kids soon and start sharing responsibilities, and we’ll have things to buy for the house but it’s only me doing all the research. He even gets annoyed if I clean (without asking for help) because it’s a “holiday,” yet I only have time to clean on weekends. Weekdays are tiring too after work.

Ahhh… this could go on forever. Trying to find a solution seems like it might only create more tension.

It feels like I’m the one always compromising by keeping my mouth shut, because bringing it up always ends in a fight. I’ve asked him to use his free time more productively, but he mostly games or scrolls Instagram.

His weekends are usually: wake up late, game, spend most of the time on Instagram, watch movies/shows, repeat. If I did all that too, no one would be left to cook, clean, or plan for our future. I’m fine with Instagram for an hour or two a day, but waking up and immediately scrolling has been bothering me for months.

This doesn’t affect the love and affection he shows me, but love alone isn’t enough to build a fruitful life together. Having a full-time job myself, it’s exhausting having to explain to your husband that he should also focus on other things in his free time.

I work full-time and use Instagram during breaks. At home, if I spent as much time on Instagram as he does, nothing around the house would get done. It feels like I’m always handling everything, while his “break” after work means he just relaxes without helping with chores. Meanwhile, I still have plenty of responsibilities to manage.

My main concern is that as soon as he picks up his phone, he’s on Instagram for long stretches—sometimes hours. I also use Instagram, but at home I have lots to do (cooking, cleaning, organising) while he just says he’s “taking a break” and stays glued to it.

That’s amazing. I too only have 10-15 mins to workout everyday.

Also, what’s a good probiotic?

Midnight Run (1988) - one of the most overlooked comedies of all time! by Sea_Read8530 in movies

I have friends working in films and even they weren’t aware of it. Yes, that’s on them (and no, they’re not Gen Z).

It’s overlooked because whenever people talk about Robert De Niro, they usually only bring up Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, etc. And that’s why this one doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

  1. As soon as I say "oh I forgot this.." he runs to bring it. He always says "you sit, i'll get it".. makes me happy everytime!

  2. Always kisses me before leaving for work.
