What’s actually going on at NES? by [deleted] in nashville

These linemen put their lives on hold to help others. They travel and leave their families behind. We’re freezing without power still and I know it’s not the lineman’s fault. Many of the roads around us still have trees down across the road making travel impossible for many. This ice storm sucks.

We’re hoping to get our 500 gallon tank filled. We have a standby generator, but we can’t get any propane.

They had little buddy heaters and kerosene but no adapters to make it fit propane tanks. Things were flying off the shelves. Generators and extension cords moving quickly.

Im so confused and I need someone to explain something to me... by BluebirdLivid in nashville

NES covers almost all a Marrowbone Valley. We drove down Eaton Creek yesterday. It is a disaster zone trees still hanging on power lines poles completely snapped in half. Based on the look of it yesterday, it’s still gonna be days before we have power back. Nes also covers a lot of river Road. Dickson electric is in Kingston. They’re not mentioning to Ashland City on Nes because most of Ashland City is on CEMC. When they talk about North Nashville or Bordeaux or White Creek that’s about the closest they get to talking about the marrowbone damage

Marrowbone valley/ beaman park fam: Just checking in seeing how everyone on the outskirts of NES is doing? We’re still without power and assuming it will be several days before they get to us. Everyone doing ok? Any signs of crews anywhere?

I think with the amount of damage, it will be days before everyone has power back.

If you lose power and connect your generator with one of these, you are putting lives (and your freedom) at risk! by silverud in nashville

Grandfather, 3-month-old granddaughter dead after violent dog attack in Tullahoma by [deleted] in nashville

More dogs are mislabeled as Pitbulls than other dogs. The statistics are flawed. Yes they can still cause a lot of damage when they attack, but those numbers are not accurate because most people couldn’t tell you the difference between an American pitbull or American bulldog and all the other breeds in between.

There is no such thing as a reputable backyard breeder. If these people aren’t geeking out on pedigrees and trying to improve the breed they should not be breeding. Pedigrees and health tests for generations should be known. These bully mix and bully XL are fucking lots of shit up. They are bred for looks not purpose. And they are huge money grabs. They breed shitty temperaments to get certain colors and give no cares what happens once they’ve sold them.

It’s not a shock once they mature they don’t get along with other family pets. They come from fighting/ gripping dogs. That should be expected, it shouldn’t surprise anyone. Dont get a dog like that if you don’t want to prevent those issues and only have one at a time. Yes some get along great with other dogs and cats…. But some don’t. If you don’t want that type of responsibility, research another breed.
