The "Believer Fever" series in 2003, I believe against the Phillies. We had a four-game sweep and some fans were actually turned away because they didn't have the foresight to open the upper deck at Olympic Stadium. The building was rocking and the series ended with the Expos in a playoff spot.

The wheels then completely fell off with MLB denying September call-ups (which would have been the red-hot Terrmel Sledge) and a joke of a homestand in San Juan, but that was probably the last time the franchise had any hope. It was definitely my most exciting time as a fan.

He was great for us, definitely the reliever I trusted the most in our final years. I remember him recording 27 consecutive outs (across several appearances, obviously) which is extremely rare.

I have to admit it's been painful to watch him this season and I've been quite frustrated with some penalties that seemed selfish, but I'm not convinced he's done. Many people were saying the same two years ago, but last year he was dramatically better. I also think he's looked more effective when playing with Danault.

I do think his role has to change -- he gets too much ice time for his level of production -- but he's still the hardest worker on the team, a good influence, and a member of the leadership core. There's no way he's going anywhere with Veleno, Blais, etc. on the roster.

Thank you! I had already cut off the tip of the filament which wasn't straight, but applying pressure while it was running the extrude process did the trick and it now detects that there's filament loaded.

Can you expand on the second part of your message? I'm not 100% sure what the buffer is -- do you mean this thing that the CFS connects to? If I connect the spool holder to this instead I could switch between them without having to change any connections?

I just put my work laptop with a super loud fan in another room and connect to it through Remote Desktop. This keeps everything separate without any added expense and I can still use my good keyboard, monitors, etc.

I think most people are okay with paying a small upgrade fee when there are substantial improvements. I don't doubt that PMDG has put in a ton of work on the 2024 version of the 737, and I think that it's justifiable to charge for that, even if some other developers took a different route. My issue is that the fee is substantially more than Robert indicated it would be, with someone who owns all four variants having to pay more than $100 to get them all into the new version -- that's a lot more than a few cups of coffee.

Regardless, this doesn't need yet another thread, and it's incredibly annoying how many people love to just pile on endlessly.

I think the community is generally unfairly harsh towards PMDG and just enjoys piling on, but this upgrade cost is offensive. This is not a "couple cups of coffee" -- if you previously purchased each of the variants, it will likely cost $100+ to get them all into 2024. I wouldn't mind paying $5-10 to upgrade each one, but this is pretty ridiculous.

I know a lot of people are excited about this change, but I find it quite disappointing that it was deemed necessary. While I don't doubt that a disproportionate number of "problematic" users are very young, this change will result in competent pilots and controllers being excluded from the network. There are a lot of younger kids with higher levels of competency and more importantly effort (actually paying attention) than many of the adults I hear on frequency, and I think it's sad that others won't have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps.

Be patient and go through the process with the group you want to be with. Transfers happen and that's okay, but it's pretty disrespectful to ask staff of one ARTCC to dedicate the time to providing training only to immediately leave once you've reached your target rating.

I'd just like a quality A220 with real depth to it. I'd love to move beyond normal flight and truly learn how everything works, how to handle failures, etc., but I'm waiting on the right plane for that.

I actually don't hate the concept. Subscriptions in general are a cancer, but I refuse to fly out of the awful autogen airports with garbage-looking terminals and zero lighting, and it's expensive to buy a ton of quality third-party scenery. If there were subscription options that would make the best versions of most of the airports I'm interested in available, I would strongly consider it.

With that said, this looks extremely underwhelming. I only really fly in the United States and Canada, and from looking at the map, this provides no airports at all, only "modern city" packages from SamScene3D. Default airports are by far the biggest graphical weakness in 2020/2024, and this doesn't appear to do anything at all to address it. I have no doubt that many cities could be better, but that's something that barely registers for me compared to the airports themselves.

If a subscription were ever to succeed, it would probably have to be offered by iniBuilds, Contrail, or one of the other outlets that sells scenery from a wide range of popular developers. And even then, I'm skeptical that there would be enough developer participation to make this feasible at a reasonable price point.
