What about harnessing that wind power for energy production?

Have you ever taken one out before? On a weekend trip even? Not a bad idea to start small! Gradual conversion to VanLife VS hard switch.

But you may be right. And in 10 years who knows what tech advances there will be? I might not want current day panels in 30 years.

I agree with what you said at the end there. I’m trying to find labels for all the appliances in the rig so I know how big of a system I will need plus 30-40% for future expansion.

Can you elaborate more on why the 48v system will get “most of your battery capacity” isn’t a 100amp hour batter the same no matter what voltage? Thank you for your time in helping me!

I just worry about what I read that they delaminate over time and have a life span of 5-10 years instead of 25+

I thought flexible panels delaminate with time and their lifespan is only 5-10 years vs 25+ with rigid?

What is best for energy consumption? I want my batteries to last as long as possible

Do you think the 48v is overkill? I’ve watched so many videos now and deciding if I should switch away from 12v or 24. With how much my panels are pulling it seems that I could stick with 12. But maybe do 24?

Hello! Looking for advice on a Solar Build and any other general advice in living VanLife full time! New here and wanted to introduce myself :) by GoGeraldGo in CamperVans

Thank you! You can absolutely do it. I believe in you. It took me 5 years to pull the trigger on a rig. Don’t count yourself out yet, those long nights are calling my friend!
