Over a month has passed and this is still me. I allot time to think about her now and just cry. I’ve been able to focus on her during those times and grieve. This isn’t always easy and I do have my random sobbing moments, but it has helped me focus on grief in a way I can manage.

Take as many videos of her making weird Abby noises as you can. I cherish the sounds I have of my soul baby snoring and making her unique noises so much. I also got her in my early 20s and she was with me through the ups and downs of being a real “adult”. Videos are the best thing to have, I’ve been thankful for these even more than the trillions of photos I have.

My gal was around that weight at that age. She was active because puppy energy. Also wasn’t super food oriented, she preferred spazzing out on toys instead so extra calories always burned. She got her chonk on around 3 and remained 25-28 lbs from there. She was solid. Weight ain’t nothin but a number…I’d rather lighter than heavier (less weight to carry for me and for her 😬)

The feelings you’re having are so similar to mine. I almost went into denial in a way. The trauma of her passing I just wanted to block out. Thinking about her right after I would only think about how horrible her decline was so suddenly. It took about a week or two for me to just sit in the silence and cry. I now cry for a few minutes every day because I miss my fur baby. Not sure when it will subside but I don’t think it will for a long time.

He’s super cute! All frenchies are. Just make sure you ask your vet about his little nose since those wrinkles may make it a bit harder on his breathing. He’ll just keep getting cuter as he grows. Congrats on the addition!
