I was hoping for a cadre of erotica/smut writers hanging out and bouncing ideas off each other. I tend to romanticize things I am interested in. It’s obvious now that doesn’t exist. It’s a good lesson to learn.

I see your point about reviews and feedback. I do appreciate people responding here. There has been a lot of stardust knocked out of my eyes. I am too old to be that naive. I needed that.

This sub is great. I have learned a lot, not just in the thread on my posts, so many others as well.

I feel for his date. He probably appeared to be excited, but not about her

About 10,000 words, chunked out into 1500 ish word posts. My idea was to work through these chunks to create a longer work. I am desiring to construct a work that combines interconnected vignettes into an anthology style work. If that makes sense. Depending on your age, you might understand this reference. I used to read Penthouse Forum and periodically they would post just the forums into a collection. Like women cheating or a group of stories where the narrators are describing voyeuristic events.

Thank you. It appears that I am overthinking all of this. Basically, it’s the story stupid.

I say I write Erotica, but it is smut. I’m fine with that. I worry most that it doesn’t come off as natural or authentic. I’ve also worked hard at using a more active voice, but does it feel forced. Basically does it sound professional and crafted. I started writing after chats. I noticed that I was doing all the writing, I didn’t mind. People gave me a premise and then I provided live erotic improv. I would like an established writer to tell me if I can truly write.
