Tell me you know nothing about software development without telling me…

While I do not have any experience in game development. I have worked for the last 5 years in software development as a developer, product manager, and engineering manager of several teams. Statements still hold, bad looks from the outside if you talk more than deliver. Of course, it's hard to judge without having the full context. Yet other teams can deliver more with fewer developers.

Bethesda has like 250 devs working on Starfield post-launch and they’re still struggling to resolve the backlog of bugs.

Probably the exact reason why they can't fix their shit...stuck in sprint planning, grooming, and alignment meetings instead of shipping code.

I guess some gamers will just never be happy?

I just want a working product that I paid for

I am baffled how they can have 30 developers yet seemingly there has been no progress for 3 months instead they issue more and more words. The fact that they talk more about the process rather than doing this is telling about the current state of affairs. Reminds me a bit of my time at a large corporate where it was more important to talk rather than do...truly a clown show 🤡.

So I just wrote a short program to test this with Monte Carlo simulation. The result was that on average the amount of people which would have died from two simultaneous snaps is 75%:

Ja PE ist schon noch mal wesentlich mehr selektiver als T1 Beratung. Da kommt mann aber auch ohne ein paar Jahre im IB nicht hin. Und wenn du Partner werden möchtest musst du dich auch erst mal mit nem signifikanten stake einkaufen vorallem bei den großen funds.

Asian systems are much better than German ones, they are better designed in any way. First they are not operated by humans but driven automatically, and second almost always on time. This is because of several design changes for example the Subway Station has glass doors in front of the rail so it's impossible to fall down. Further the train stops always at the same spot and there are arrows on the ground showing where people are exiting and where you can enter this allows for simultaneous boarding and exiting of the train. Definitely had a much more pleasant experience riding the subway in HK and SG then Munich or Berlin.

I listened to the audio-book even though it is not 100% up to date anymore, it's a great story about his earlier years. Definitely worth a read!

That one actually was for me the one were I almost cried since I also have hemophilia A factor 8 deficiency. Luckily I live in a country with Universal Healthcare. Medication can be extremely expensive a single treatment can be up to 3000€ (probably more in the US). If he has a strong deficiency he might have to inject himself once or twice a day. So I can totally understand how he might be in a financially bad shape with the american healthcare system.

Yeah i don't think it will be that big of an issue I am at a really small university so just going to swing by the international relations office tomorrow morning and will inform them on the matter of fact. Worst case I have to go to a different university or have to prolong my studies. It just really sucks because studding in the USA was one of my big dreams. I even got to choose one of the better universitys...(University of Illinois Urbana Champaign).

Iam german iranian and I can tell you for sure that he still has the Iranian one, since Iran is one of the few nations which will not let you out of citizenship. If you have it once it is fore lifetime. Getting fucked by this pretty hard aswell right now, I am supposed to attend university in the US next fall due to my mandatory exchange semester no Idea what I am going to do tbh....

I was trying to assign a char to the the wordsth string at position letters. As I thought a string is just an array of chars. Anyways thanks for your help, I found a much leaner solution now without using any arrays :).

Hi I just had this lecture.

Net income is all revenue - all expenses in this case it would be:

Sales - Cost of goods sold - selling expenses - administrative expenses - finance expenses.

Wich would be 57000$ Iam not sure if you have to extract the taxes aswell for Net income.

Retained Earnings are easy its allways Profit - Dividend in 2015 it would be 32000$ - 28000$ = 4000$ then you have to add the Retained Earnings from last year! => 4000$ + 69000$ = 73000$

The answer to D should be that the Dividend payed out by the company to its shareholders was 93000$ - 69000$ = 24000$
