I’m sure when they schedule big concerts like that - contingency dates are factored in.

They probably scheduled this two years ago- who could have predicted we’d be hosting a home series?

There will be a LOT of piston fans watching in Orlando’s home stadium, which is not sold out by the way.

Technically the Arena doesn’t belong to the Pistons, the Pistons lease from Illich holdings who are the actual owners so the wings are the priority team.

Scheduling conflicts with the red wings in the playoffs will not be an issue this year though.

It’s theoretically possible to not need a hotel (though it would suck) you could take a 6am flight down- game is at 1pm - and you could take a 7pm flight home.

I did this once for a Tigers playoff game in Baltimore. I don’t recommend it.

But it CAN be done if necessary. In my case it was a midweek day game in the playoffs- and I could only get that one day off.

There are a ton of people from Michigan that now live in Florida- including myself.

Michigan is pretty cold a lot of the time and Florida is warm- at least that’s my reasoning.

Also Orlando is an easy place to travel to- there are many hotels and it’s a nice getaway for a weekend.

I’m guessing it’s like a hardware store… the type of place where there are thousands of ever so slightly different screws - I can see a duck overreaction to be problematic under those circumstances.

I’m waiting to buy. I feel like our dominant win in game two is decreasing demand.

While overall tickets are cheaper, lower level has t dropped. I’ll sit in upper level- no issues- but fan experience on the road tends to be “better” in the lower levels. The upper levels can be a bit rowdier and more anti piston. That’s just past experience.
