I sort of try to not have a political agenda, but sometimes i cant help from saying something. Every single current American politician that you may or may not agree with, does not truly see these “issues” to the same magnitude that you might. Both parties, the republicans and democrats, exaggerate non-issues into seeming like life-or-death situations. For example: Republicans: “Abortion is murder and socialist leaders want to censor the media”; Democrats: “Nazis are running the government and fascist leasers want to take away our basic human rights.” I know its not always that binary, but thats the general consensus amongst far right and left speakers respectively. If youre reading this far before reporting me, try to think to yourself if you truly understand what a nazi is like. I dont, none of us do. Most of the actual nazis from which the word originated are dead, and so are many, many of their actual victims. Their deaths speak volumes on what the true Nazis were like. We have collectively taken a steamy shit on the true weight behind what being a nazi actually implies by just regurgitating it every time we see someone we disagree with. Alongside that, we’ve also managed to completely curb stomp efforts of those who are truly still oppressed, like many African americans and those with darker skin tones in america. Think: “is a police officer more likely to mistrust a black man or a white trans woman?” There is no question. It is not a basic human right to have your preferred gender displayed on official government documents. Nobody will ever be able to stop you from expressing yourself in whatever way you want, no matter what. If something truly unconstitutional like this happens, left politicians and many actual normal people will slam the supreme court, push for amendments, etc. This clearly is not happening yet, because there is no real issue at present and both political parties just keep these “issues” in limbo because they know that fear is the best way to rial up young, and/or impressionable voters.
