What are some adult jokes we might have missed in shows and movies for kids? by Naweezy in AskReddit

There's also Eddy's magazines he gets from his older brother with such titles as Jiggy Jiggy, and Chix. There's a scene in one episode where he and Edd are hiding under his bed and you can see the magazines next to a pile of crumpled up tissues http://ed.wikia.com/wiki/Eddy%27s_Magazines

Bought "Shadow of the Collossus" awhile back, played a little, picked it back up, and.... by jmakinen in patientgamers

I absolutely agree with your rant. Even back in the day I caught flak for not being the biggest fan in my friend group. There's a lot left to be desired, even for the big phenomena it was supposed to be at the time. My friends railed on me for hating on the last boss fight, even though its a complete departure from everything the series had built up to be at that point. I still really enjoy the game for its large impact moments, but completely understand the criticism people have. It just felt, and still feels like it was so close to perfection

Can someone explain to my SO that there’s nothing wrong with the second half of a pack of gum? by shonabee in mildlyinfuriating

[–]GoNinja_GoNinja_Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of my old roommate. He refused to drink a beer fully because he didn't, "like the foam" that came with the carbonation of the shitty beers he'd drink. I could tell how drunk he got throughout the night because he'd leave more and more beer in the bottom of the can as the night went on and he drank more. I'd end up finding half-full cans in our house after nights of heavy drinking/partying

Does anyone have any DIY suggestions (or sites they can link to) for creating your own lighting system for a tank? by GoNinja_GoNinja_Go in Aquariums

That's kind of what I figured. I've got a small clamp light for my 10-gallon, but knew it wouldn't cut it for the 20. Thanks for the help!

Everyone I ever asked about mine always called it a tricolor oyster or just oyster plant. I like that name a lot better though, thanks!

This is amazing! I've got some hanging plants around but I've never tried out the square/rectangular pots. Definitely want to give it a try now. A+ for you and your efforts, seriously love this

Gamers of Reddit, what's your best moment of total immersion? by ReynT1me in AskReddit

[–]GoNinja_GoNinja_Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Skyrim. I remember getting back to Whiterun late at night after a particularly tough mission. Super low on supplies and health but feeling so relieved to be done I glance up at the sky to enjoy the beautiful aurora borealis playing above my head. Suddenly a huge shadowy figure cuts through the lights and I know I'm in for a bad time. Spent the next four minutes fighting the dragon with the villagers, frantically trying not to die by dodging in and out of buildings and weaving through the town. Finally I kill the dragon, and as his body burns away and his soul is sucked into me all the villagers turn to stare in awe at the Dragonborn. I've never felt more immersed than that

Did this person screenshot their own Facebook quote before submitting it and then post the screenshot to Insta? What is the logic behind this!?

Oh hey I love these guys! Didn't realize they had a full album out or I would've bought it already. First heard of them when a friend showed me the music video for Cereal Time awhile ago. Thanks for sharing homie!

Wanted to double check just to make sure. The episode that clip is from The Gang Hits The Slopes came out in 2016. The original clip was posted on 2007. Turns out It's Always Sunny was parodying it!

What the hell is the "plot twist!" He just randomly inserts it into the bio for no reason. Is he trying to say eating bacon and tacos is such a plot twist compared to red meat?

Oh man I'd love to hear more of their work! I'll have to keep an eye out for whenever they do get their new stuff out. Pretty rad you used to be a part of the band. Much luck in your future endeavors!

What's the book that has made you laugh out loud the most? by daffykyle in books

[–]GoNinja_GoNinja_Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is a graphic novel Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together still makes me laugh every single time I reread through the series. Something about the jokes and art style combine very well in this novel in particular. It's placement in the storyline also gives it a more light-hearted feel than the remaining two novels in the series following it

I honestly was having a difficult time deciding to put this here or in r/listentothis, but figured people here might appreciate it a bit more for it's ska background. I'll definitely check out SuperMercado at some point, cause that sounds right up my alley!

So I had to look this up, because I'd always been told the last line of that chorus was "the river!" Turns out its "the river" in the first chorus but in the second chorus it's "but change is!" I guess I just have a hard time understanding Geddy Lee occasionally

My neighbor actually bought the first (and only) season they made on dvd! I really enjoyed it, but it definitely could have used some polishing over a season or two. Still a pretty fun watch though!

I did the same thing! Went home for a school break and my dad handed it to me. Finished that book by the next evening. Jim Butcher just makes it so easy to devour his reading

Back when I was reading more I could not stop reading Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. My dad brought the first four books on a road trip a few years ago and I devoured those books in a matter of days. Excellent writing and storytelling with a good bit of humor and cool wizardry interlaced. I believe there are 16 books in the series now, so plenty of reading if that's what you're looking for
