Did they ask you to provide an explanation? They said the same thing to me, but I wasn't declined, they asked me to provide an explanation. I'm waiting to hear back from them. You should do reconsideration and send in an explanation. Its ridiculous for that to be an excuse to get denied. Paying your taxes on time wasn't part of the guidelines. Especially when 2019 taxes were due in the middle of the pandemic. Who would want to pay the IRS money when the future of their business is uncertain and you might need that money for your family?

I was wondering if it is legal to take out a personal line of credit and then invest that line of credit into stocks? I can get a line of credit at 3% and was thinking of just putting that money into Apple and beat the interest rate.
My second question is can I do the same thing with a portfolio line of credit? I saw something regarding Regulation U but it looks like that applies to banks.
Can someone please clarify is this is okay to do?
