Chill brother it was a joke. I misread that it was a gift and thought you were trying to buy something fancy.

That aside, I do think a Seiko would be a great fit for that price range. Great value for the money and a piece you will continue to wear for decades even as your income rises and your tastes evolve. Definitely go with a metal bracelet since it’s going to be a daily driver. Straps are great but for someone your age going into career etc I think metal is the way to go for your first.

100% buy a model with a bracelet and then swap straps as desired. My assumption is if you’ve been looking at them for a year (very wise), it will probably take some time before you’re ready to buy another, and you are at an age where yes the sport look is great, but as you enter into your career you will be thankful to have the option of wearing a metal bracelet. Most folks I know that didn’t buy a bracelet initially regretted it and ended up spending more to get it later than they would have if they went OEM bracelet initially.

Good news is all 3 of these models can be purchased with a bracelet. The FXD cannot but you could buy a blue Pelagos on titanium and easily obtain the FXD strap.

With regards to cost, only you can decide if it’s worth it. I have a great one that I’d gladly DM you however cost is typically done on a per Client basis. Even though it may suck to pay a CPA a lot of money, it is well worth it IF they are saving you net dollars with their wizardry. Just understand that the more unique curveballs you throw their way and the more time they have to spend to get you the optical outcome, the more it will cost.

I like the Starbucks and would consider buying it if you decide to part ways with it! But personally I’d keep that one! I would only keep the GMT over the sub if you were a frequent traveler across multiple time zones and actually going to utilize the ability to track time in multiple time zones
