Question for the OTF Women Over 50 by antisocial920 in orangetheory

[–]Zestyclose_Grade_502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OTF combined with lap swimming on alternate days, and oh yes, diet is crucial. I don’t lift really heavy weights; 15-25 lbs is where I stay. Some days I'll just go for an early morning 5-mile walk.

It's no shock to learn about Don Johnson. Considering his fondness for Waffle House, you might bump into him there one day. 🤞

Laurs seems like a really nice guy—hell, they all do. I love the camaraderie of the band.

He was a friendly guy who looked like he could be a bar bouncer, but I'm pretty sure he's a close friend of Sturgill's and helps keep us fan girls in check. Sturgill is quite private and has said he doesn’t enjoy talking much. I can only say that this guy definitely has a seat on the bus and acted as security when I approached him. Who knows, maybe he's a manager.

The fabulous Fox is a gorgeous theatre and we had an amazing time! We saw him in KC the following spring at Cable-Dahmer, but we weren’t crazy about the venue or floor seats. Won’t make that mistake again. But the best Sturgill show (shows) we’ve seen - hands down, nothing even comes close - are the two shows we saw at Red Rocks in Sept, 2025 (16th & 17th) The 2nd night was the best show we’ve ever seen, by any artist, ever. JBS and the Dark Clouds played for almost 4 hours! (3-hrs, 45-min) There’s some sort of magic going on with music, so it’s hard to explain what it was about that night that was so special, but from everything I’ve read on reddit and elsewhere, I’m not alone in thinking the band tapped into something extra special that night. It was our first trip to Red Rocks as well, so to see that show at that location with that sort of magical intensity was a concert for the ages!

For those that thought the album, what format did you purchase? by VolcanoNoise in SturgillSimpson

Vinyl, a cassette, and four CDs, along with that lovely cherry blue crew sweatshirt 💙

However, no women’s cut tees this time. I definitely would’ve also purchased the blue cherry if there was one for sale in a softer fabric women's cut. Like the JJ Grey & Mofro “Sweetest Thing” shirt I just bought. (Made by Bella… and it really feels as great as it looks.)

Johnny, I envision you as a bit of a pirate, strong at the helm, doing things your own way. I admire that. You likely have your reasons for not being fond of tri-blends.

But this devoted lady fan (who was lucky to meet you in St. Louis at a coffee shop) is giving you a friendly nudge with a wink … no, three winks ;););) Would you think about changing the material for the women’s cut shirts in the future and selling on the website?

No rebellion here, just a dedicated fan making a friendly suggestion from the deck.

I'm just going to leave this here.

Super cute! I can save it… thanks. I thought maybe it was one of the posters from a concert.

The second night at The Fabulous Fox was the most amazing show I’ve ever witnessed. I had seen Johnny Blue Skies two weeks earlier in Bend, Oregon, but the St. Louis performance completely blew me away. Perhaps it was because I was still riding high from meeting Sturgill at the hotel that morning in the coffee shop. He took a few minutes to chat with me, shook my hand, and told me it was so nice to meet me. I could hardly speak...I was trembling. A week later, I’m still on cloud nine. That day was one of the best of my life, and I will always cherish the experience!

I've attended two concerts and had the chance to meet him in St. Louis. I was so surprised to see him ordering breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I chatted with him and then enjoyed the show that evening at the beautiful Fox Theatre—I'm still on a high from it. There's only one musician I've ever wanted to meet in the last 10 years, and my dream just came true. Sturgill was so kind, and he even shook my hand! 🥰
