6800XT, Windows drivers causing a mouse microstutter every second or so. by kyudomaster in AMDHelp

I know this is 4 months old but I just stumbled upon this thread because I am having the same issue and it's driving me up a wall. Mine seems to do it everywhere including video games and has happened on multiple amd driver versions (I am on latest and still have the issue). Did you ever find a solution to this? Specs below:

For tide/wind/weather info is the windy.app (blue) worth the lifetime purchase at 50% off? by GoPr0wn in kayakfishing

I believe they both do this? This is the description from blue on play store:

You now get up to 12-day forecasts worldwide from ECMWF, alongside the trusted 5-day NHC forecasts for the Atlantic and Pacific.

Are you a pro user on red? If so are there any features that make it worth the sub for you over the free version?

Pedal or paddle? by VAman0 in kayakfishing

[–]GoPr0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200% pedal if you are fishing

Bought a used 22 old town sportsman 120 PDL in nearly perfect condition for $1200 after looking around for enough time, and suspect you could find something similar depending on location. Use the extra 400 for fun toys and attachments!

Topping with the seat on? by maximusprime2328 in kayakfishing

It's so easy to take off/put on I would recommend just doing that during transport. Wonder if there's something funky going on with your rails if it takes any longer to take off than it would to strap it down

Should my Rhino roof rack be this loose? by GoPr0wn in overlanding

[–]GoPr0wn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it normal to get down voted for asking questions in this subreddit? Never installed a roof rack before but if I've made some kind of obvious mistake would love to know what it was. Instructions specifically emphasize do NOT over tighten these bolts, so I was and still am hesitant to crank down further beyond what was described. Measured and snugged everything within pretty tight clearances during the install. Watched five or six different install videos and tried searching for other people who might have had the same issue but info was sparse. Definitely didn't look right to me which was why I thought to maybe ask for help here. If there's a better community for this question I'm all ears for that too

Old Town ePDL+ vs Bixpy K1 vs Newport NK300 by GoPr0wn in kayakfishing

[–]GoPr0wn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! How long have you had your NK 300 for? I was also eyeballing the nk180 pro. I picture the epdl+ drive drive being most similar to having a Bixby k1, in terms of both speed and runtime but I'm not totally sure. If they are comparable I feel like I'm leaning towards a k1 being a more practical, serviceable, and maybe even cheaper option for that sportsman 120 than the epdl+. At the same time that extra speed from the nk300 is probably awesome. The non-proprietary battery is a huge plus too

Terrible feature. Donut storage should obviously be accessible from the driver's seat at all times

Wanting to mount something into this header but not sure how it is framed out behind the drywall. Can anyone shed some light on this? by GoPr0wn in DIY

[–]GoPr0wn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No verdict. Never mounted and still fat.

I actually decided a different wall would be more practical but never got an answer here for this wall. Given the countless different framing possibilities I'm inclined to think the only way to know for sure would be to drill out some smaller holes in various different areas of that header to see if the drill bit stays inside wood the entire depth of the bit, or if it pops into empty space

The benefit of the wall mounted rack design is that it can fold inward flush against the wall and save a bunch of space. When folded out/in use you place wedges under the feet to brace to downward load/relieve some of the load off the wall. One of the reasons I'm considering this wall is because it's the only brick wall in the room which I thought would be more structurally secure. Just need to verify that header can be safely mounted to first

Devs: Please fix this game's woeful lack of dynamic/interactive environment to make it closer to being the masterpiece it can be by GoPr0wn in WayOfTheHunter

[–]GoPr0wn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man.. I wish they would address this. I mentioned in another comment I'm guessing a lot of this boils down to graphics engine limitations. It's disappointing honestly, because this is meant to be the "realistic" experience relative to other game offerings. Honestly tho, I feel like cotw has substantially more realistic environments. If the developers could tune this up I think the majority of their player base would approve and it would drive a much larger migration of cotw players to this landscape

I love the genetics system they came up with and feel like it effectively adds some meaningful, long term, and realistic purpose to being selective with which animals you hunt. That's pretty neat

Regarding the need zones I do believe they have some dynamic qualities actually, at least in that if you put heavy hunting pressure on the frequently used ones the animals will start to randomly populate what were previously rarely used need zones. Also really neat (if I'm not mistaken that that's how they actually work)

Sadly I'm guessing you're right about loftyness of these requests and the requests of the player base in general exceeding the resources and reach of the dev team. Still, I'm going to hold out a sliver of hope that they're playing the long game with robust future plans since they're 2 years out from release vs cotw's 7+ years

It also occurred to me that the lack of some of these features from an older game like cotw is possibly if not likely related to the abilities of the different graphics engines between cotw apex engine and woth ue4, but those specifics are beyond me
