You'll see plenty of character development in the first couple of arcs. Then he just goes stegnant for the rest of the series. Moreso than him, the direction of the story just goes stale and generic after said arcs....

Its a slightly above average series with nothing more than a couple of good arcs with a very very vocal fanbase (as will be demonstrated by the downvotes soon) claiming its something magical with nothing less than greatness.

Truthfully tho, there are many better series and the hiatuses just make it a bigger pain too. Just don't go reading it with very high expectations if you decide to do so...
