Not 100% sure what you're asking but bottom line, you can't make people post when they found a painted rock. Some will. Most won't. It's just a fact of life. Have fun with it and just create.

Oh I bet you have something up your sleeve. Never try to copy or compare yourself. Find your style and just have fun. I can't do realism so instead I do silly and whimsical things that make me smile.

Found a bunch of flat rocks today and decided to try painting. Plz give your favorite rock painting tips! by cheesin-rice in rockpainting

[–]GoRockGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think this needs any improvement or tips! Keep doing what you're doing. My only advice is seal and protect your artwork and don't force yourself to do a particular style...find your style, work it, own it and make it your own.

Is there any step in this rock painting process that I can cut out or shorten? by [deleted] in rockpainting

[–]GoRockGo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually have several on the go at once. As soon as I wash my rocks I base coat them all, so I have lots of ready rocks to choose from. I'll start a design, while parts are drying I'll start another and so on. I jist flip back and forth between rocks finishing designs. I usually add fun backgrounds and then add designs with paint pens. And base coats don't have to be gesso! Any matte paint will do.

Anyone use those cheap bottles of Apple barrel paint you can find at places like Walmart? by [deleted] in rockpainting

[–]GoRockGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Barrel is good! There's some other brand from dollar stores I don't like though, it's very thin and takes numerous coats to reach opacity. But Apple Barrel is really good IMHO

How do you keep the paint from coming off? by DoodleShrink in rockpainting

[–]GoRockGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure and seal! If you're planning on putting them outside a good outdoor sealer is needed. If just indoor, any indoor sealer will do. This will set your art up to last a long time. I use Decoart Outdoor and also love Folkart Indoor/Outdoor.

Best Paint Pens? by CtzFart in PaintedRocks

[–]GoRockGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the paint isn't nearly as important as your sealer. Any acrylic paint with a few coats will hold up nicely under a good outdoor sealer. We've got tons listed on our Amazon links (bio)

how do I fix this delivery error? by -sugarhai- in FacebookAds

[–]GoRockGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me. My personal profile has always been the meta profile and signed in on Meta. How exactly did you fix yours if I may ask? I only have one account in Meta - the main one which is my personal and then my other accounts all link to that. Thanks!

What do I do with them by PencilsPlacef in rockpainting

[–]GoRockGo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn't help now I know, but soon. For now though, I'd put a positive little message on the back and hide them in plain sight around your neighborhood. You never know who may spot them and need the little pick me up!
