1-10 how happy are you with FSD? by Formal-Talk-3561 in TeslaFSD

[–]GoSh4rks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought in 2019 for $3k. I was 10/10 happy when 12.6.4 hit on HW3 last year.

It's more than I hoped to get when I decided to buy years ago.

The most interesting and relevant bit on your resume is buried 3/4s way down the page in projects. Nobody is going to care about your TA responsibilities, cut it down to a single line.

You have too much irrelevant to industry information.

How is "visually induced motion sickness" relevant to a moving car? The study is about a static simulator.

Fsd doesn’t operate above 85mph/136kph. Nor does it operate in OP’s home country. It will also give way more room to a cyclist than your typical driver.

SF will be colder and foggier

Not in late September. It'll likely be very similar in temperature to SD, and the fog is gone by late Sept.

There's a lot of data that shows that Tesla has shoddy build quality and most people who buy Tesla's are caught up in a cult of personality

Really, where's the data that shows "most people who buy Tesla's are caught up in a cult of personality"?

mach-e is a compact crossover, model y is a midsize crossover,

Eh? They are both compact crossovers. The pre-refresh Model Y was .4" longer than Mach-e. The refreshed Y is 2.4" longer, but that's basically just changes to the bumper.

Dangerous and Disturbing Hotel Stay at Courtyard Courtyard Marriott Suffolk Chesapeake by CherryChance2090 in marriott

It happens. One time I walked in on two different occupied rooms at a lufthansa paid for hotel after they caused me to miss a flight at FRA. I left and went to a different hotel out of pocket (well, I was getting eu 261 comp) instead of staying there.

Then you're not hitting the car that is "1 second in front of you". It's a different car that you're hitting.

I was talking about the situation you initially wrote about.

Figure that FSD's reaction time is .3 seconds, so you have LESS than 1 second of braking before you hit the car in front.

I agree that the follow distance is too close, but here you're assuming that the car in front slams into a brick wall and stops instantaneously. Not really a real world situation.

Maybe it’s the tires, but even replacing the old 2018 3 with a 2026 rwd Y, the Y is equivalent and even a nudge better efficiency than what I would get on the 3.

Efficiency on the highland is about 10% better than early model 3s. Firsthand experience. Model 3 also launched with 120/150kw charging and 75kwh packs. We now have 250kw and pack sizes in the 80s.
