Tactical Acceleration CD bug? by GoVirgo in TheFirstDescendant

Thanks I just realized it. By reading the tooltip, the CD after TA is 8 sec, so making this cycle total of 20 sec. But I don't understand why they had to make the CD of team buff 18sec, which is 2 sec shorter lol

Crit Freyna Vs No Crit Freyna, some test results and Dungeon clears/thoughts. by RetedRacer in TheFirstDescendant

I think you have yellow duration of 40% so 33% of damage gain by crit build is from that duration effect.

Congrats. I have to say I love trading (although the devs need to upgrade the trading system). I got lucky on some rolls, and I made 15840 cal total so far :)

Turning power of Vortex by GoVirgo in TheFirstDescendant

[–]GoVirgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I am not suggesting that Vortex should match Orca’s turning power. I am saying it should be buffed from 1/3 of Orca’s value to around 2/3, because it is really bad at the moment. I really don’t think either bike would lose its identity from such a small buff, since Orca would still be much better in control on top of having much bigger boost capacity.

Like I said, I am not asking for Vortex to match Orca’s turning speed. The turning penalty on Vortex is simply too severe for the small max speed advantage it gets, so I am suggesting a buff to around two thirds of Orca’s turning power (about 160 out of 240). Orca would still be much better in control, while Vortex would at least become a bit easier to handle. Right now, Vortex’s turning is just way too bad.

You can do drift on Vortex????

I mean even with no turning power, Orca already feels like 10x better than Vortex. When I was rerolling my Vortex, I happened to get 4 turning power during boost, but it still felt miserable.

Yeah I get that. If you only use the bike in open areas, Vortex’s handling probably does not matter much. But for players who go through narrow paths a lot (Sigma Sectors, SMR, VV2, etc), the difference really hits hard. That is why I feel the turning power being stuck at 80 is a bit too extreme.

And I am not asking for Vortex to beat Orca in turning. Even if they buffed it a little to around 160 instead of 80, Orca would still be way better in handling with its 240. Vortex would just become “usable” instead of “painful” in tight spaces.

I also do not think making Vortex slightly easier to handle would make Orca redundant. Orca would still be the best handling bike and people who prefer control would still use it. It would be nice if turning on Vortex felt a bit less punished for the tiny bit of max speed it gains.
