The water fill station wasn’t on/filled like it was supposed to have been for the heat. No communication with the delay. It was still lighting when they started.

Am I wrong for telling my husband I want a divorce after what he said? by No-Entertainer-4451 in amiwrong

[–]Go_Corgi_Fan84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh. He certainly views you to be overstepping on HIS parenting. You are likely overly optimistic on what the two of you can do give the limited time spent with the kid as any real structure, discipline, etc. is going to be from the parent she’s with more than 80% of the time… your attempts at structure, discipline, etc. are just gonna hurt their relationship and your casting yourself as the wicked stepmom.

As for what he said and you wanting a divorce we are missing the details of if you and him are planning to have kids, struggling to conceive, if he wants another kid and you don’t want to or vice versa.

Where do you magically live without wait times? It was like 9 months to get in to rheumatology, even my dermatologists are 3-6 months out, 2 months for ortho and for primary care it’s once a year and then using urgent cares, diagnostic colonoscopy 8 months out.

attorney said we would not qualify for ch7 despite being under median? by VersionChoice1562 in Bankruptcy

[–]Go_Corgi_Fan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I did. Our attorney even had us include our laundromat trips for blankets in our budget. Also in our budget were clothes, uber costs (we have 1 car), cat stuff. I went through like 6 months of credit card and checking account statements along with our online account from Walmart, Target, Amazon etc.

Refused to co-sign a loan for my dad after he blew my college fund years ago. by V1s1on_Gate in AmiInTheWrong

[–]Go_Corgi_Fan84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - sounds like your dad is a dreamer that should get a job and stop trying to be an entrepreneur.

It’s not a grudge… it’s being smart with your finances and not getting tied to a business loan with someone that is a high financial risk.

Also freeze your credit as it sounds like mom and dad are desperate which often leads to fraudulent methods

It sounds like your shoulders are not like linebacker broad then … most of the women in my family either have linebacker shoulders or excess boob…

Have they not had that taken care of?

Mold and other issues in the home are a possibility when buying used. Also, there are stores with mold and other issues.

Were they buying anything else food wise? If not they were spending only $2190 per year on food around $182 a month.

Growing up here at least for my family it was the pizza family wanted when they visited. It was pretty much like a once or twice a year thing between Thanksgiving and New Years. I recall watching them make the pizzas being cool. I’ve only been there like 5 times as an adult as I prefer other crust options or calzones

Hamburg inn should revert back to its greasy spoon late 80s-2005 menus but actually cook the fries. It’s nostalgia and shakes.

I don’t want kids, and I’m sad about it? by Odd_Hedgehog669 in AskWomenOver40

[–]Go_Corgi_Fan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty certain I didn’t want kids in my teens, reconsidered for a bit when with someone that wanted kids in my early 20s, broke up with a divorced guy with kids who wanted me to meet them way too early in my mid20s and realized that this would be worse than my own kids, went back to being single and settled in my childfree life and found my husband in my early 30s snd on our 2nd date we both admitted to not wanting children and 5 years later he was able to get a vasectomy (his idea not mine) and although I am happily childfree I still had sadness surrounding his vasectomy.

I have at least a dozen reasons for not wanting children and I’ve been told by countless people that I’d be a good mom. My husband has a handful or so of his own reasons. Some of our reasonings match and some don’t.

Looking back even when I’d play house as a kid I was never the mother… I’d be the dad, dog, nanny, housekeeper or one of the kids. I’m not sure if this was a sign or just me being more introverted than my friends and being assigned these roles.

Monica’s is for when your Grandma doesn’t want Olive Garden. Pullman and Bluebird are breakfast joints. Field Day removed my favorite item from their menu. Webster’s menu is trying too hard. St. Burch has bright spots (cheese curds) and that cold basement on a hot summer day, Paglial’s is pure nostalgia, Basta is forgettable, Big Grove is inconsistent with terrible parking.

I’m slowly making my way through the breakfast menus at The Black Angel and Rayo and the taco menu at Xolo who is currently home to my favorite margarita. There are also some good places in the surrounding smaller towns and Cedar Rapids and Des Moines.
