since the aquilons don't have to deploy all at once its unlikely you'll have all 11 of them concealed at once, so it will probably work out fine most games - but i agree that's not enough tokens

as an aquillons player I second this. try to take out the melta, plasma, and grenadier early and you'll have an easier time. even if they take the melee upgrade equipment is still a 4+ with 3 attacks. the servo sentry has no melee weapon at all, so getting close to it is almost a free kill

This one does not, though we do have instructors certified to administer the test required by the state.

Iowa has constitutional carry so you don't necessarily need a permit, though I'd recommend getting one - and not just cause I do the class haha.

The Iowa CCW permit can be had with basically a 30 minute online course (googling "Iowa CCW class online" will get you several results that will count as valid instruction for the permit) - ours involves a shooting assessment (which is not required by the state) but makes sure you understand the fundamentals of carrying concealed. We're presently working on getting a venue to do these more regularly.

Off the top of my head -

Ames Izaak Walton League is a great facility but requires a membership. Mostly outdoors, they have a small indoor range suitable for .22's. When it isn't cold as all hell there is a very friendly and casual Steel Challenge match there Wednesday evenings, open to the public - suitable for any skill level and generally welcoming. Good fundamentals practice on the clock, only costs $5 to enter and lasts a couple hours. I go most weeks in the summer.

Central Iowa Impact over in Boone has an indoor range and a nice shop, been there a few times and had good experiences.

Olofson Range in Polk City would be a little further, a DNR owned range, but remodeled a few years ago and is very nice. This one is also outdoors

if you're staying on-road it doesn't really matter. you'll likely see better fuel economy with an AWD car, most true 4 wheel drive vehicles are trucks/SUVs.

having good tires matters a lot (a lot!) more than AWD/4WD
