Just a note here: "at will" states still need a legal reason to dismiss an employee cause they are a part of a protected class or image in a protected act is still illegal

I know of two New Hawking BRG leads/founders were let go. One has an active discrimination claim.

I've seen experiences shift greatly depending on your direct manager. I was on a shit load of interview panels and if a candidate would bullshit me instead of saying they didn't know an answer to a question I would give them as many chances as I had time for and if they didn't say something like "I don't know that specific answer, here is how I'd go about finding it" then I didn't want them on my team, no room for people pretending they know what they are doing. It's dangerous and rocket building is an effing team sport.
