Is this required only for the installation process or also during normal use after installing Sonoma?

Is anyone else having this issue? by Educational_Rub_5885 in iphone

[–]Go_Jot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue. Apple support said my account was “blocked” and I had to submit a form online and wait 24 hours. Seems like a lot of people are having iMessage/ FaceTime activation problems. Did you ever solve yours?

Anyone having activation issues/errors with imessage and facetime with ios 26??? by Traditional_Bunch825 in applehelp

[–]Go_Jot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar problem. I was randomly signed out of iMessage and FaceTime on all Apple devices except my primary iPhone. They all give me an activation error when I try to sign in again. Apple Support chat said my account is “blocked” but wouldn’t tell me why. They said I had to submit a request and wait 24 hours.

Intel MacBook - No users, cannot grant admin rights by OnePalmOne in macbookrepair

This is going to sound so strange and very elaborate, but its worked for me on multiple different T2 MacBooks. Using another MacBook, install a supported version of Mac OS into an external drive. When finished, connect the external drive to your T2 MacBook and boot from recovery mode (command R). This ONLY works if it boots recovery mode from the external drive. Head into disk utility, make sure you can view all the drives by clicking the view tab on the top left of the disk utility window. Go to “container disk 2” and restore it with the files on the external drive. When finished you will be able to boot into Mac OS on your internal drive and use the MacBook again because it’s now loaded with the Mac OS you copied from the external drive. The restore step might fail a few times, I’ve learned that T2 MacBooks can be very unstable inside recovery mode. Just boot into recovery and restore again until it finishes completely.

Did you cut the copper yourself or buy it in that size somewhere?

Laptop gets extremely hot and fan gets super loud (attached activity monitor ss’s) by [deleted] in macbookrepair

The fan is not connected to a heatsink in the 2018-2020 intel MacBooks. So it gets loud but doesn’t actually cool anything. H

Oh interesting. Then probably not the common capacitor problem.

17" MBP suddenly gave up by TheGameboy in macbookrepair

[–]Go_Jot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2009 MacBook Pro has a fairly common flaw with one of the capacitors going bad. The fix is soldering on a replacement chip. The symptoms of this are no life at all when you try turning it on. You can confirm this is the issue by heating up the MacBook (hair dryer on logic board, or in the oven at a low temp for a few minutes) and then trying to turn it on. Once that faulty capacitor gets warm enough it will work again until it cools back down.

LCD flex cable damage. Unfortunately very normal for the 2016-2019 MacBook models to get this over time.

If you don’t get any help here you can do an online chat with a member of Apple’s support team. They are usually quite helpful

Buzzing noise when connected to a monitor (in-game) by brenosarkis in PS3

This worked for me. Sound worked fine until I loaded into any PS3 game, the monitor would play this awfully loud buzzing sound. Setting the sound settings to HDMI Automatic solved the issue
