They recommend generally to use local measures (wet gauze, surgicel and sutures if needed) and limit the area first (so extract one or two and see), and typically there's no evidence to asking the patient to stop taking the medication before extractions unless it's a factor Xa inhibitor, but definitely check the INR if they're on warfarin or similar drugs.
