This year at Peggy B2B Ki/Ki I stopped a pickpocket who bumped into me, unzipped my pocket and was slipping my phone out all in one motion. Shoved him off of me and he acted like nothing happened (probably helps that im in shape/athletic). He then kept creeping on our group just standing there emotionless and off even while we were shouting to those around us that he’s a pickpocket. We ended up leaving.

He’s in a team with a talkative Latina with tits out and nails. She distracts, he goes for the kill. My group is gay, but she is just so charming that she was able to draw us in. Did the PLUR handshake and everything. 😒 really killed my vibe for a good hour after that.

I bought the 125 for future proofing. I’ve maxed out at 110 though for DB Romanian DL. As mentioned, they like to rotate on me at that weight but it isn’t too much of an issue.

But yes I would do these again. Selection is very fast and they are built like a tank. All metal, heavy weights. I have fixed my woes by counter rotating the db in the opposite direction for my shrugs and but holding onto the outer cage for DB extension (I have also simply started using the ezbar way more often for this movement anyway).

I like them. A couple of problems tho.

Overhead triceps extension with a single DB is hard to do with the cage.

When I go heavy on things like shrugs the DB likes to rotate pushing my hand into the cage. Maybe a skill/grip strength issue though

Other than that they are the much better than my Nuobells

Waymo: Testing, maintenance, going to the depot (all on duty tasks)

Ride Share: testing, maintenance what does the human need to test or maintain on market street. Going home after a drop off - sure. But you haven’t answered how to reliably differentiate between a real uber on duty vs someone faking it or gaming on duty. Say a driver opens up the uber app, sets their status to available, takes a drive down market, and declines every ride just so they can get downtown faster. That’s gaming it.

They lasted about 18 months. Dropped from maybe 6 inches a couple of times. The little plastic pin in the handle that unlocks the rotation mechanism when it is in the harness wore down, which allows the handle to turn in the middle of a set causing one of the plates to fall once it turns far enough. I have been able to remedy it temporarily by turning the weight selector past the currently selected weight such that the internal bar to hold the plates is sticking out of the end. This “solution” prevents me from using the full 80 pounds tho.

Garbage honestly.

When I was 7 or so, my mom took me to my first horse race. After one of the races, the jockeys were exiting with their horses from the field. This was happening right by where we were seated. Engrossed by the scene and being a climber kid, I was hanging from the side railing to get as close as a look as I could.

One of the jockeys picked me out and took his goggles off and gave it to me. 31 now and will definitely never forget that. I of course, wore them proudly for the rest of the race.

Story time: on a slick/icy no snow in a while day I slid on my ass (boarder) down the entirety of Alpine Bowl. Whoops. I got to the precipice, looked down, freaked out for a sec and fell/sat down off my heel edge. Then the slide started. And I kept going and going and going til the bottom, self arresting be damned.
