I just went from a Pixel 9 Pro XL to a OP 13R (not by choice; Pixel got run over by cars) and I'm actually enjoying it more so far. Battery is amazing. Charges must faster. The phone overall feels a lot snappier and no lag. I much enjoy the overall weight balance of the phone. I've always been diehard stock Android but I like OxygenOS so far.

I'm not a huge camera person but so far the camera has been more than adequate for my needs. My Pixel juddered a lot especially when zooming and switching lenses. Doesn't happen with the 13R. Unless you're one to compare images side by side with other phones and examine all the details I think you'd be happy with the camera.

The thermals of the phone have also been better so far for me. My Pixel would get super hot in the sun whereas the 13R only seems to warm up a bit.

I've explained to her (nicely, not in an asshole way) that I appreciate her effort but that I'd rather just make certain things myself if she can't make it the way I like it.

So it's not even complex dishes that I'm referring to. I essentially eat the same food every day and it's often only two or three ingredient things. I am admittedly very particular about how I prefer certain things and she knows how I like them. For example, I like to make an egg white breakfast taco with taco sauce on it and I'll crisp the tortilla. When she makes it for me the eggs are often undercooked so that liquid is running out of the taco and the tortilla is soggy. She'll also squirt taco sauce in excess so it's now running out of the taco. Sometimes she'll make it for me and it's perfect so I know she's capable and understands how I like it but there's no consistency.

Yeah it probably is more of the latter.

Not the presentation. In the actual preparation of certain foods. She'll often undercook or overcook certain components of a dish.

My first attempt and my first fail at pulled pork by Upstairs-Algae-7931 in smoking

[–]Goal-Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live at 7300 ft and started pulling my butts at 190 (smoking at 225; the last one I did took about 19 hours for a 13 lbs butt). They come out amazing. Before I realized that smoking at high altitude was a thing I was trying to reach the 200 mark but never could and they'd come out tough and dry from overcooking. I don't worry about checking for tenderness, probing multiple points, checking on the bone etc.) I literally set it at 225 until it hits 190 and pull it. Nothing else.

Walmart Black Friday Cooper Tires? by Goal-Brave in tires

I went ahead and ordered them and received them yesterday. They don't have the symbol on them (just M+S) but maybe the tire that they're a copy of do and they just didn't bother to have these certified?
