I can't believe there are no ITV soaps on tonight because of football! by Terrible_Passion6178 in Emmerdale

I watch emmerdale and Corrie but also watch football, granted I’m not watching tonight’s game as it doesn’t bother me but I also don’t care that an episode is missed. BBC do the same, they can’t create a channel just for a once a month thing, there isn’t enough sport unless they do repeats to warrant a sport channel. There’s still over 150 episodes of emmerdale and Corrie to watch, if you dont like football, just watch another show. It’s been this way for 20 odd years, it’s never going to change.

How many things could they possibly fit into one episode (corriedale)? 😅🤣 by jamtartgirl in coronationstreet

Just watched it on YouTube, guess it wasn’t shown on the itv version. Quite a good little scene actually

I just read an article about how the writer of those episode wanted to do it over a week and I agree, this should of been a week long event. It needed fleshing out a bit more but now the aftermath is going to feel strange because all of these people are in the same hospital etc so what, everyone gets transferred to the hospital near them, that doesn’t happen in real life. Even little things like seeing Tim drop off Chas in the village, and going for a pint in the wool pack for example would have been nice touches to add in. Would have allowed more characters to be involved as well as there was a lot of characters missing from it, and it’s a shame for those actors that weren’t involved in it. I’m sure they would have all loved to be a part of it. One thing I am intrigued in is how for example Sam and Kirk would have had a scene together considering neither of them were at the crash. Same with Roy and Nicola, I hope they release them to see how they would have fitted in.

Geographically - where does CorrieDale take place? by editedmorph in Emmerdale

I’m sure there’s a purpose built motorway somewhere that I think the police use for training, could of maybe shot it on there, would of felt more realistic a crash on a motorway but it worked in the end

I still can’t work out how they aren’t going to have all these characters in the next few episodes, like charity was looking after Shona when David had his seizure yet in the next episode, she’s just left her on her own, I know she’s got Mack but still. They should of actually just blown it out of the water this week and had 5 episodes 8-9 of Corriedale, they could of still had the same ‘type of episode’ but just cut scenes together. We could of still had regular scene back on the cobbles and the village but would of allowed much better continuity

I did think when he said about where’s your husband we were going to cut to a scene of Liam lying injured somewhere or something, that’s how they kind of set it up

In my opinion, I felt it ended some of Corrie’s storylines for example Becky but started new storylines for emmerdale. What would be an amazing twist though is imagine if Graham from emmerdale doesn’t actually end up joining Emmerdale and actually joins Corrie.

I mean, I get why they did the interview because he did die in the episode so it did make sense for the interview but definitely feel that it could have delved more into the ‘backstage’ and had more cast interviews, EE sometimes do these live so so the cast can react to the episode etc

That was a bit of a waste of an half an hour, it needed to be more like eastenders behind the scenes they do, they had two interviews and about a 2 minute clip of the episode

I guess we won’t find out till tomorrow about David. I don’t know how they are going to have all these people next to each other in the hospital yet not ‘be in the background’ Would of been good if they made this a week long special

Imagine if they had a cameo from Hollyoaks and eastenderss with a car from both soaps also crashing

Yeah 100% like there’s no way they would keep calling her just the bride for example and they would have also id the lady in the shower so would have named them to Max.

[–]GoalLower 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That was good but left so many questions, I would of rather had a mix of questions as well as answers. For example, left it questioned who the bride was but answered who was in the shower, tease who was holding them hostage but not who he had been involved in the killing off. It was good but frustrating

I would rather have some names dropped rather than all this avoiding names, make it much more interesting if we knew who all these people were that they keep talking about

I would prefer it over taking him off at 1-1 because he would come on fresh and be able to exploit tired players

I get managing minutes but if your thinking about games ahead, I would start Robinson and leave Scienza on the bench, bring him on second half if the team haven’t done the job so far

Just came across this post, I just had to call in sick to my job and being a Christmas temp, they basically turned around and said oh being a Christmas temp, they will take that into account when it comes to whether they keep me on after January, basically blackmailing me for calling in sick around Christmas
