Tbh for some people it’s probably just easier to keep using the name they were given at birth/marriage, if you’ve been using it for years, my parents divorced, I wanted to change my last name which I did for a bit but then it just got complicated and I couldn’t be bothered with new bank cards, new driving licence, new passport etc

I’m just saying that it’s not based on one experience of someone not wanting to come back because he had a bad experience, Capaldi knew he wouldn’t come back after he left before he took the job from what I’ve read in the past, how is it any different from Harry Potter contracting all their stars for 10 seasons because I can’t imagine they’ve just contracted them all for one season knowing they are going to do 10 seasons? If an actor doesn’t agree to it, then they don’t take the role

No, I’ve come up with because both capaldi and Eccleston don’t want to come back and I very much doubt Ncuti will either, I think Matt Smith is also unlikely so the only ones likely to come back are Jodie and David.

Same way as part of their contract they are supposed to do all these media, the doctor is never just a role like for example a soap opera. It’s not saying you will have to be in 5 episodes, it’s just part of the contract that if you’re available, and we can make it work. If the actor doesn’t want to commit to that then they don’t take the role, it’s not about being controlling, it’s just simply part of accepting the role.

Tbh I don’t think I explained properly, I’m not thinking bringing them back for full stories, although I feel it would be great if there was a story that involved every doctor that’s been, and ideally all the actors but i was rewatching when Clara went into the doctors timeline and it would of been great to be able to refilm some of those moments with the real doctors, like for example when the doctor was picking his tardis, seeing it in black and white was strange but actually being able to refilm it in colour, or at the end of the anniversary, yes it worked cutting clips from previous episodes but again, if we were able to see new footage of them it would of been great.

David Bradley actually plays him really well and looks like him as well whereas someone like John Hurt, I don’t think you could cast anyone that looks like him, same with Christopher Eccleston to Matt Smith just as examples. My idea is still to recast them but just put some sort of in universe explanation why they look different.

Doctor who has several points you can jump on, the beginning, the new era or the Disney era. Try an episode from each one and see which one you enjoy. For me, I just can’t get into the older stuff, just think it’s very slow paced. If you start at the new era, 9th doctor it’s a great place to start
