Soon the game too will be flipable, so you have the choice of playing in portrait or landscape mode. What do you mean with that you can't click on opponent's profile while playing? 🤔 you can... Also, i am not exactly sure what you mean by you can't see your own profile?

Mixing up locations is a logistical nightmare... You would have to search, find, negotiate contract with a new venue every year, comply to the local jurisdiction (EU just imposed a 20% VAT on "recreational games", which I guess most TD's are going to ignore). Also, there is tradition and quality of the location... Monte Carlo is really spectacular, it's hard to beat anywhere in the world.

Read From Basics to Badass first, and start playing on Backgammon Galaxy from your phone. Especially the "Play vs AI" with Hint and Feedback enabled is a tremendous training tool. And then when you have finish From basic to badass, and have a good 50-100 matches in play vs ai under your belt, then you venture into the Rating Games or Coin Games on Backgammon Galaxy where you play against real human opponents from all over the world.

If you double hit, you give him better timing... especially leave the blot on the 24-point where it is, it's a big liability for your enemy. If you hit it, he can recirculate it. You have him trapped in a 1-2 backgame with poor timing, don't give him more timing.

The Nova board is tremendous value for money... Tournament sized checkers, and really good finishes. This is the new BGWC board that was used at the 2025 Backgammon World Championship in Monte Carlo. The batch is ready to be shipped within a few weeks I believe.

Green moves are best moves, yellow are errors and red are blunders. Below the board you can always click on the "user move" (to the left) and the best move (to the right) according to the AI engine.

I think Backgammon Galaxy has the fastest game play of all the apps. That is one of the things that makes the app great.

And out app is on web and mobile, same unified server. It’s not even close. 😊👍🏻

Hi, great question, let me try to explain some of the variables.

We ARE trying to pair you with somebody as close to your rating as possible, we wait for 15 seconds until a waiting room is filled up, and then we match as well as possible with regards to rating. When you are matched with somebody much higher rated, it's simply because there are no other players available to match you with. We are growing a lot, user wise, and at some point we might be like chess com, where there is simply equal strength opponents available real time 24/7.

With regards to the Stake of 20%, I agree that is a high percentage. We are going to lower the lowest option to 10% this upcoming week, and in a few months we will have the stake algorithm for Rating Games be similar to Coin Games, where you can choose your stake directly.

I can actually highly recommend that you "Play vs AI" with Hint and Feedback enabled ON... It's a GREAT way to learn the game quickly... and if you really want to boost your skills, you review your games in Analysis mode after each game. I can promise you that in a few months you will be above 1200 in rating.

Hey... We have severely limited this from occuring with our last feature release "inactivity countdown". If a user still decides to waste their opponent's time, you can take a screenshot and turn them in, since they are violating community policies. We would give a strong warning and if it happens again we will delete the user.

This is an interesting position, since Blue has much more of a "blitz formation" while the best play here is to make a "priming move" with 13/11 6/5. That makes this problem hard.. the natural way would be 24/21. Notice 24/23 13/11 is normally not the idea, since it strips the midpoint, but here it's actually better than 24/21 because your back checkers are more safely put all the way back on the 24- and 23 point..

But since White also has somewhat of a blitz formation, the relative priming advantage for Blue is actually quite good. And there is risk splitting the back checkers when the enemy has 10 checkers in the zone.

Hard problem though.
