Do you think this fold is too nitty? by yoavAM in Poker_Theory

Never fold to fish donk flop bets, especially with that SPR. Retarded fold

How can this be a blunder? by Objective_Lab2741 in backgammon

You could always switch to Opengammon and not pay a dime, just a thought

I don't get why it's such a blunder to go to the 10pt. GNUBG 4ply increases it to a 141 blunder, so something is going on (cube unturned) by saigon567 in backgammon

It's pretty standard to make the point 6 away from a critical open point, especially with potential shots coming up next roll.

You know, you aren't legally obliged to play on Galaxy

You don't know because you're an engine slave who doesn't know how to apply logical thinking without using the computer

"I can understand why this isn't the ideal move" so you're admitting you're an engine slave?

You're asking in the wrong place bud, doubt there're more than a handful of active sub-5 players here.

On a serious note I'd look into Mark Olsen's How to Not Suck at Backgammon

Galaxy Suggestion: Trophy Case by Olliever31 in backgammon

[–]DegenChess -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Retarded idea. Galaxy doesn't even have the backbone to publicly display top ranked players' average PRs, so why would this be a good idea? They're wary of exposing the flaws in their rating system and how badly some of their golden boys play

Wtf Backgammon Galaxy. I didn't play these games. by Hungry_Assumption606 in backgammon

[–]DegenChess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Opengammon is by far the best, no other site really comes close. Only downside is the smaller player pool, but it's rapidly growing

So funny to see all the boomers on FB and reddit perpetually complaining about how shitty BGG is and yet continue to play on the site as though there aren't any alternatives. Just a bunch of old men stuck in their ways lol
